Yes, done with his agent tonight while he was playing for Wales. But the story won’t break for a few days. You can trust me though; I had the big Charlie Mulgrew transfer days before more mainstream media sources.
Incredible scenes.
Any word on Given?
Sky Sports are finally catching up with Bandage. They’re now reporting that Celtic have made an official approach to Manchester City and to Craig Bellamy.
Its a loan approach I believe.
Smart move from Bellamy seeing as Mancini won’t last too long
Well it keeps his options open, thats for sure. No point signing a long term deal with Celtic either for that matter. Suits all partys. Bellamy is a legend though.
BELLAMY.
After the news was broken on here by Bandage on Sunday night it has finally been confirmed that Aiden has signed for Spartak tonight.
4 and a half year deal.
Best of luck Aiden.
What a video.
Remember that night coming out of the stadium, Rocko? The place was absolutely buzzing after it - one of the best individual displays ever by a Celtic player according to some of the older folk I was speaking to. Up there with Henrik in Seville as the best individual performance in recent memory. That’s what Aiden brought at his best. I hope he’s an outstanding success for the rest of his career wherever it takes him.
Anybody hearing anything about Lee Wallace? I wouldn’t be averse to him signing.
He plays on the left,
He plays on the right,
That bhoy McGeady,
Makes the Dynamo/Lokomotiv/Zenit/Rubin Kazan* look shite.
- select opposing team or rival as appropriate.
Yeah it was sublime. Seen him play so well so many times but he was breathtaking that night. Just took them on every time and that wasn’t a vintage Celtic performance - we were struggling to hold onto the ball at times but so many times Aiden just got hold of it and took them on and just destroyed their full back over and over again. They doubled up on him and hacked at him and it didn’t matter. A joy to watch.
'COVENTRY manager Aidy Boothroyd claimed today Celtic have not made an improved offer for keeper Keiren Westwood since the English club rejected what he called a “derisory” bid three weeks ago.
The Republic of Ireland internationalist is out of contract at the Championship club next summer.
But Boothroyd insists Celtic have not been in touch since their first approach was rejected and implied they would be wasting their time with an offer around the £1million mark.
“They made an offer about three weeks ago and Keiren knows all about it,” said the Coventry manager.
"It’s £3.50 and a bag of haggis, which is nowhere near enough for a player of that quality. I don’t want to lose someone who I think is the best goalkeeper in the division, someone I want to build a team around.’
Bandage what are you hearing about:

[]Emilio Izaguirre
[]Daniel Majstorović

Izaguirre’s agent has taken the rather odd step of compiling a fairly shit video of his play.

Majstrovic is older than me but maybe an experienced centre back like that with 30 odd caps for Sweden is what we need. Not world class but a solid player.
Any more on Bellamy and Given lads?
Darren O’Dea is off to Ipswich on loan seemingly.
Celtic defender Darren O’Dea is on his way to Ipswich.
The 23-year-old spent four months on loan at Reading last season and ispoised to make another move to the Championship with a loan offer from Roy Keane.
O’Dea missed the latter part of Celtic’s pre-season build-up due to injury and has fallen down the pecking order for places in defence.
Neil Lennon expects to complete the signing of Swedish defender Daniel Majstorovic on Monday with left-back Emilio Izaguirre on his way to Celtic from Honduras.
O’Dea made 19 appearances for Celtic last season and could be in the Ipswich side to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Lennon admitted: “Ipswich have made an enquiry to take him on loan so there is a possibility he will be down there on Monday. He doesn’t want to be a squad player, he wants to play and I can’t guarantee him that.
“Ipswich have given him the opportunity to go and play and I think it will be good for him to get some games under his belt because we’re bringing in other people allied to the ones we’ve got.”
Lennon was pleased with his side’s clean sheet at Inverness today but is still determined to add to his defence.
The deal to bring in Majstorovic is at an advanced stage with the Swedish defender set to make his debut against Utrecht in the Europa League on Thursday.
Lennon confirmed: “Majstorovic is in over the weekend for a medical so we think we’re nearly over the line with him. Izaguirre will be in on Sunday but I don’t know how far we are down the line with him.”
Rocko, I’ve been off the ball since Thursday and these two imminent deals for the defenders have been all but completed in my absence.
Rintintin, both Given and Bellamy are signing.
No bother Bandage. Have you heard anything about Weiss on loan?
Hmmm. Vladimir Weiss is coming on loan from Manchester City. I’ve no problem with this as he’s a highly rated and obviously talented player and can give us more options post McGeady’s departure. I’m hearing Bellamy may not be the slam dunk that I initially believed. We need a 'keeper still.
Bellamy to Celtic is BACK ON. Not definite but Lenny’s in there scrapping. :guns:
Fook it, anyway. Hooper’s injury is worse than expected; we need another striker of the Bellamy ilk now. We have the ‘target man’ role covered in Fortuné, Samaras or whatever but we need someone with pace to play off them.
Very disappointing to see Thomas Rogne injured again too.
