I’d have kept him probably but the size of our squad was a huge problem and we obviously found a way to negotiate an exit for him. Presume he might well go back to Hibs.

Sadly, while he wasn’t a disaster there weren’t quite enough goals and he was inconsistent when played with anyone other than Hooper.
Clearout going well anyway, particularly up front. Stokes, Cole, Kazim, Scepovic all gone. Ciftci the next one we need to get rid of.

Talk is Johansen is off as well, not bothered by it. His best performances have came in a position where the team was built around him and he’s not good enough to have the team built around him. Struggled when he had to adapt, came across as a pussy as well.
+1. I hated him initially, then changed my mind based on 2014/15 but he was a disgrace last season. He’s clearly a gimp too.

Get McGregor and Armstrong out next and I’ll be happy. We have lots of half midfielders/half wingers so we need to cull them as well.
I’d happily keep those two and Johansen, or 1 or 2 of them anyway. GMS should be first to go. The others have shown more potential. And Allan and Christie look to have potential but that’s an awful lot easier than actually delivering.
Armstrong might be better centrally, Johansen was MoTM for Norway last week apparently. I’m still not convinced by Rogic either. He doesn’t seem suited to a quick style and really needs to find a natural position. Have Ajer arriving too of course, think he’s a deeper type player.
We need five or six championship/ league one hardmen.
Moussa Dembele having a medical ahead of a move apparently. 500k compensation due to PSG and Fulham as compensation.
He had 15 goals in the Championship last year as a 19 year old. Looks like he’d be a really good signing with a whole host of top European clubs interested in him.

This is fantastic news. Exciting signing.
I don’t know if I’ve seen him play before but I’ve watched 20 mins of youtube now so happy to make the call.
He looks like a fine all round striker. He’s a good finisher. Strongly favours his right side but can use his left. Quick without being lightning. Strong without being too powerful. Looks decent in the air. His touch and passing looks excellent. He looks equally at home in build up play and as a penalty box striker. Taking it all together he’s probably the best young striker in the world today and our best young attacking signing since Aliadiere.
Very surprised with that transfer and appears to be a big step up from Celtic signings of the recent past.

Great signing, shocked we got him considering the interest and bargain fee available. I’d say there’s a minimum release fee clause and a hefty % of sell on clause for Dembele himself.
