Heavily linked with Wales child gunter. Apparently he has a one million release clause. Would be a good signing.

Johansen strongly linked with a move to Galatasaray. Only £1m because he’s out of contract next summer. I know he’s not terribly popular on here (or elsewhere) but there was a real collective loss of form last season and if he could recover his form from 2 years ago then £1m seems a paltry fee for him.
Bitton also apparently the subject of a 6m offer from Espanyol.
Not bothered.
Johansen to Galatasaray looks like it’s going ahead. €2m. He hasn’t looked in better form in pre season, though that’s obviously not a great yardstick.
I’m not bothered.
We have too many attacking bodies in midfield at the minute and need some solid holding options to compete with Brown and Bitton.
Not many players linked recently.
Jon Flanagan appears to be the main talk at the moment but the story seems to be nothing more than idle speculation.
In recent days we’ve been linked with:
- Lars Veldwijk, a Dutch striker with Nottingham Forest. Not really what we need, unless we’re getting rid of Ciftci
- Jerry St Juste, a Dutch centre back with Heerenveen who is a highly rated 19 year old
St Juste would be two encouraging signings.
Proper central midfielders though guys, that is our biggest priority.

Another transfer deadline tonight at 11pm for registering players for the next round. Not sure if you’re allowed 1 late addition like in the last round.
Duffy, Sinclair and Toure are the most heavily linked players with Rodgers saying he’s hopeful of getting 1 or 2 in.
We’ve also been linked with a young Polish midfielder but that looks unlikely because of money involved so we won’t need to trouble @balbec for his opinion just yet.
