We’re playing a 4-3-3 alright but Mulgrew is holding and Ledley is left of him.

Aberdeen are really trying to crowd out our attacking players but they’re leaving Mulgrew in space as a consequence and he’s playing it around nicely. Decent effort from Fisher a couple of moments ago.

Touch of a midfield diamond, bro?

Ambrose with a terrific run slaloming past players and a nutmeg in there but skied his shot at the end of it. Would have been some goal.

What a run by Ambrose!Would have been a sensational goal.

Stokes isn’t in the squad today - not sure what his injury is.

Pukki has decent touches but he looks like he’s lacking in strength and his reactions are a touch slow for a striker too.

Virgil Van Dijk continues to impress every game.

Commons!

Langfield punched tamely enough under pressure from Samaras and Commons with a controlled right footed volley from the edge of the box.

Van Dijk’s floated cross was fisted out by Langfield and Commons volleyed it back past him with his bad foot.

1-0 Celtic.

Diabolical goal to give away. Forster wasn’t up to much there at all.

1-1 at half time.

I thought Pukki’s movement was good in his early games but I think the lack of guile in midfield is affecting him. Lately he’s been coming short nearly all the time and not making the same intelligent runs in behind. He often gets shrugged off it then, even though he’s got a decent touch and makes the odd skillful turn. Granted there’s not a lot of space in behind today with them defending deep but there were a couple of occasions where it was crying out for a through ball to someone making a run in behind. We’ve tended to exchange passes in front of them before getting it to Samaras drifting wide left or Izzy on the same flank to run at them.

Van Dijk is top class.

What’s the point in having a squad when you’re only going to use the same players over and over again?

There is no need for players like Rogic and McGeouch to be here in January, hopefully for the sake of these two lads Lennon can loan them out to another SPL side.

How has Jackson Irvine been getting along?

Well the second string players didn’t cover themselves in glory against Morton. I don’t think we can afford to be starting Rogic or McGeouch at the moment, neither are showing any sort of form when they do play.

Boerrigter on for Pukki. Samaras will play through the middle now presumably - he just pushed one off the post a moment ago after Mulgrew picked him out.

Samaras off the post after his out to in run was found by a raking Mulgrew through ball. That’s more of the type of run I’d like us to be making. Boerrigter for the disappointing Pukki.

Great run and effort from Commons but a good save.

We’re playing at a decent pace now and creating a few opportunities as a result.

Great save fingertip save by Langfield to deny Commons. Annoying when a patently shit keeper comes up with a big save against us.
