Boyata’s form has taken a severe dip in the last 4-6 weeks. A series of dodgy displays have followed that mistake at home to Bayern Munich at Halloween. Some of his defending/positioning has been very poor today and he’s given a couple of brutal giveaway passes inside our half. I think Ajer has had a fine game alongside him though.

I was just going to say the same on Ajer. He’s been really solid there. Good on the ball and solid defending.
Boyata looks shaky for a while now. At least they’re noticeably covering for eachother today. Last week Simunovic and Boyata were just looking at one another while they were making mistakes.
Those not watching the match think Lustig is the biggest problem.
Scottish referees are hilarious. The position Craig Thomson took up for the goal was funny.

Ajer has used the ball very well from the back today and he started that off, striding forward with the ball.

Ajer did really well for that. He’s stepped forward with the ball impressively a number of times.
Those with Lustig blinkers on don’t want to reconcile themselves with the fact Lustig is finished and a defensive liability.

A very comfortable win.
Not sure anyone played poorly. Boyata a bit nervous in the first half but had some good tackles after the break. Midfield had a little spell in the first half where it was even but otherwise were completely on top. Ntcham, Brown and Armstrong were all excellent.
Sinclair probably could have scored a couple but think he looked purposeful and direct and I think he’s returning to form. Likewise Dembélé will be frustrated at not scoring but he had a good game.
Ajer the most impressive for me. Maybe not our outstanding player but that was a very encouraging display in a problem area.
