6pm kick off.
cc @flattythehurdler, @Rocko.
I’m going to miss the first half at least.
Tuuurrrrnnnnnbbbbuuuullllllll
Turnbull has the technique of a footballer, as opposed to a Scottish player. He’s class.
Great to see you getting the South American commentator style goal celebrations going again and maintaining a positive and cheery disposition throughout the season. Most of the other Glasgow Celtic supporters on here seem to be a moody, entitled lot.
Great link up again there between Turnbull feeding Eddy
Ferguson getting a ball full in the face a few seconds ago and we get a free for handball. The standard of refereeing in Scotland is abysmal.
Ivan Toney hit his 24th league goal of the season tonight while Afatti continues to stink out the place.
Gap down to 15.
OMG.
That’s the type of result that wins leagues. We were good in the first half, well for the first half hour. But that was chronic after half time. We couldn’t build up any play (again) and work the ball around.
That said, the goal was a nice but rare example of Celtic playing through the lines. Good pass by Bain to McGregor but where was Aberdeen’s press? He ran the length of the field unimpeded before laying it off to Turnbull to drive home. Great strike.
At least we showed some bravery to see out the game - that was a concerted aerial bombardment and procession of corners at the end. Ajer and Welsh defended stoutly.
It’s gas. We’ve now played the same amount of games as the huns and I found myself thinking, a mere 15 points behind, that the table has taken on a much better complexion. Oh dear.
It’s my contention that, for all the shit football before Christmas, we could still have won the league but for the decision to go to Dubai and the aftermath. Three draws to Hibs and Livingston x2 and the loss to St Mirren. If we were only 6 points behind now…
Will Turnbull make Scotish squad for euros?
