A shame the top two teams in Scotland weren’t kept apart until the cup final.
With CCV & Taylor fit again & having started on Wednesday night & McGregor, Kuhn & Idah back in the squad, I’m wondering if Rodgers considers this his first choice eleven now. Is this the side he’ll start on Tuesday night against RB Leipzig? Or is he still managing resources/game time & could we see Scales & Taylor back in? It’s a bit harsh to leave Scales out today, as he’s been really good this season. I think Valle’s display away to Atalanta was a real step forward so I’m happy to see him starting. McClean is cup tied today.
Rodgers says Trustee starts because of his recovery pace, as Sokler makes loads of runs in behind. I guess that’s how they scored their first goal at Celtic Park recently when Scales was undone by Jamie McGrath’s world class through ball. Here we go.
Yeah. Still wasn’t expecting Scales to lose out but it makes sense alright.
Cracking pyro there.
This is gas. Kick-off delayed because the pre-match pyro has caused poor visibility & the officials have decided that would affect the application of VAR.

A replica of the league game recently…two quick Celtic goals around the half hour mark.

Kuhn is such a good player these days. He is putting in some shift today.
No more than Celtic deserve .Aberdeen playing this like an Ulster championship match , playing the man not the ball all the time, checking runs etc.
Jayus. That Devlin fella got a Scotland cap recently. He is woeful tonight.
Celtic are piling on the agony & putting on the style here.
He gave a bit of mouth to Maeda in the first couple of minutes and Daizen has roasted him since.
Someone will have to tell him it’s Maeda who is roasting him. I don’t think he has seen him since. Always ball watching or flailing around. Maeda is giving him a right going over.
