Celtic v Dundee United ☘

Our second half performances have tended to be a lot worse than our first halves. Need to reverse that trend today. Jota off the bench might be key.

Jesus. What a save to deny Giakoumakis.

Doak and Taylor on for Hatate and Ralston.

That’s fucking ridiculous. Taylor obviously fouled. Bitton sent off as a result.

McCarthy for Giakoumakis. Not a good display from the Greek.

Some finish that.

Thought we’ve played worse than that, though we had a poor enough spell just after half time. But we missed a clinical striker. Giakoumakis missed a sitter (unreal save in fairness) and snatched at his other chances and got badly frustrated.

Abada was our best of the starting attackers by a distance. Delighted for him to get the goal. Jota was magnificent when he came on and O’Riley looks class.

Hatate faded and maybe lacks full match fitness. Bitton was fine but will miss Sunday now.

Thought the starting full backs were poor. Ralston had some poor decisions in the second half on the ball. We looked more balanced when Taylor came on in fairness to him.

Interesting to see Doak come on. He lost a bit of confidence I thought but looks to have great pace.

A 4-point swing in injury time over both games & Celtic close the gap to 2. A Glasgow derby under the lights at Celtic Park on Wednesday night. That’s a great day to be fair.

One of the Celtic lads, not sure who as I’m doing a bit of work and half watching was lucky enough a Dundee player didn’t make a meal of a slight studs up challenge. Would have been a red at Ibrox.
I had to turn off the second half because I’m a coward.
Abada took it beautifully.

That second yellow for bottom was a joke btw. Dundee lad went through the back first. Excellent defending from bitton for both.

He looked like Oisin after he fell off the horse …got very old in 96 minutes … the attempt to save the late equaliser was terrible … went with his foot and just couldn’t adjust …
