Celtic v Dundee United ☘

It was Dundee United that Glasgow Celtic were playing today kid. You keep calling them Dundee.

There is a Dundee team as well. Not todays opponents though.

Please don’t be an idiot for once.

How did scales play

Lovely quick feet. That landed on him awkwardly enough. Cool finish

He was poor. He wasn’t helped by Forrest in front of him but Scales took a few heavy touches and was slow and timid with his passing. He did put in a couple of decent enough crosses when he overlapped but his passing wasn’t good enough. Wasn’t a surprise he was taken off at half time.

Bring him home

It’s surely only a matter of time. There has been no ban.

That was such an incredibly exciting and dramatic day of Haggis McJockstrap football. Absolutely intoxicating stuff. Can’t believe the 4-point title race swing across injury time in two games. About as entertaining as it gets. Must even be up there with a 4-hour Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson chit chat.

Big Giakoumakis in the middle of the celebrations despite being taken off earlier.

I think he really looks a good player and can lead the line. He had no luck today, but his finish on weds was absolutely top drawer, and he’s big, physical and unafraid.

Abada can be a bit hit and miss but 12 goals already is fantastic

I fear weds night has the makings of a Hun ambush, aided and abetted by whichever referee the local lodge decide is appropriate.

Any clip of the Bitton sending off?

We could do with him on Wednesday night.

Don’t have a clip.

First yellow was a sliding tackle to stop a break after we lost possession. Think he maybe got a little of the ball. It wasn’t dangerous but it was a yellow. It was taking one for the team

Second one Taylor got fouled just outside the D of our box. A very clear foul. Bitton had passed it inside to him and Taylor didn’t have many options and hesitated but was clearly barged in the back. He should have fallen on the ball but assumed he’d get the free kick. Anyway ball broke to them and had a chance for their winger to get in. Think Starfelt would have gotten their first because he read the danger. But Bitton wasn’t sure and grabbed your man to bring him down. He tried to disguise it but it was a clear yellow if you ignore the foul on Taylor.

So they weren’t headless or petulant fouls. They were both “taking one for the team.” But second one was avoidable with a better pass by Bitton, better play by Taylor or a halfway competent referee.
