Celtic v Dundee

Gordon;
Matthews, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre;
Johansen, Mulgrew;
Forrest, Commons, Stokes;
Guidetti

Brown’s suspension means Johansen has to drop back to the deeper role where he hasn’t been as effective. Still plays in that position for Norway though so maybe he’ll have taken some confidence from his performances in the #10 role.

Very attacking side with all of Guidetti, Stokes and Commons used to playing very advanced these days and Forrest isn’t a defensive winger. Johansen and Mulgrew will really have to stay disciplined if our full backs are bombing forward too. Big onus on Commons now to be creative in that Johansen position, instead of just trying to score with long shots.

Subs: Zaluska, Ambrose, Bitton, Scepovic, Berget, Kayal, McGregor

@Rocko, any match link?

This is working at the moment:

Is Lustig injured again by the way?

Don’t know.

A couple of very good early chances for Dundee.

This is pretty poor by Celtic so far. Dundee more than holding their own. Commons looks very rusty.

Stokesy!!!

Stokes. 1-0.

SUPER GUIDETTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Lovely goal. Great play by Forest initially and composure by Matthews to pick the pass. Tidy finish by Guidetti too.

:clap:

Matthews did very well there. He was awful against Aberdeen but a bit better today.

Performance is still mixed though. Missing Brown I think and Commons not offering the same link-up play that Johansen provides further forward. Plus we still look vulnerable at the back. But we should push on and win handy now.

Presumably Denayer was injured in that challenge with Irvine before half time. Ambrose has been on for the second half.

Forrest can be very frustrating but he’s having one of his better days today. Still not as effective as you feel he should be but he is a much better threat than Tonev or McGregor.

Or we can make a few mistakes in a row and hand them a way back into the game straight away.

That was diabolical. They could have scored a couple of times after it went 2-0 before they actually got their goal. Weak defending all round. Kayal for Commons with Johansen pushing into the advanced position.

FT 2-1. Not great.

Fairly shit display. Very disjointed. Poor passing. A lot of below par individual displays. Scott Brown pretty much holds Celtic together these days and we were very poor without him.
