Celtic v Ferencvaros ☘

Larsson would be a great shout for manager actually. Following on current trends of assuming great players will be great managers

Any quick fix strategy will do.
I’ve agreed with you about Lennon from day 1.
He will lose the TIAR unless sevco implode like last year (which is always a possibility)

This is from last year but basically tells you the mentality of Lawwell.

Even little things likes just two substitutions made and with under 15 minutes left…lennon always seems reluctant to change things

He is out of his depth, you’d be as well have John Hartson or Rab Douglas managing that team.

Klimala surely due a run last night? Should soro not be getting game time every week? They just seem to buy young players and let them rot…

He did the same with Bayo and Shved.

I think Bayo had 210 minutes of SPL football under Lennon in close to 18 months, he scored* two goals in that time. Shved scored a goal on his debut I think and barely mustered 100 minutes of action after. Both were completely frozen out and we’ve had the endure Forrest stinking the place out for months. He has alienated and frozen out Rogic despite the fact that he was easily one of the best players under Rodgers.

As you said, it is the same story now for Klimala and Soro.

*May have been credited as own goals to the Hearts players.

Rogers bought Bayo and Shved and didn’t play either. Wastes but I doubt either are good enough. And it says a lot when you are crediting own goals to a striker to pad his statistics.

Rogic hasn’t been fit and has been poor since he signed his last contract. A shame.

The problem with Lennon isn’t not selecting Bayo and Shved.

Is there an article in The Athletic that doesn’t reflect too well on current management ??

Rodgers was gone in February, Shved hadn’t arrived by the time Rodgers arrived.

As usual you are in full defence mode for an absolute fraud of a manager and a crook of an executive. You have had no criticism to make last night? Strange, not really, as you are an apologist.

Bayo had near 18 months under Lennon and had around 200 minutes of SPL action which would currently mirror the goal drought of Edouard in the SPL. If you think the opportunities Bayo and Shved were afforded under Lennon were fair then you are a clown.

James Forrest has been playing like an absolute fanny for 8 months now and is an automatic pick. Lennon is so far out of his depth but he is a yes man and that’s all Peter Lawwell wants.

Haven’t read it yet. I did see he uses transfermarkt as a source to compare the merits of the two squads which is indicative of the level of insight from the Athletic on Celtic usually unfortunately.

More blind defence of the management team.

They got dumped out by Ferencvaros at home last night, it should be a sacakable offence.

I’m not in any defence mode. I said before, during and after the game that I thought we should have started with a striker. I think that was poor management.

There is a difference between thinking we should do better versus thinking the answer was Bayo and Shved.

I never said the answer was Bayo or Shved.

I said that they didn’t get the opportunity to prove themselves and the Shved one is disgraceful when we have a guy who is an automatic starter who plays in the same position and he has barely resembled a footballer for close to a year. Another absolutely gutless and pathetic display from him last night.

Ajeti also looked like a carthorse when he came on.

The Celtic correspondent geek from The Athletic saying players are completely bewildered by standard of coaching/training since Rodgers left. Says many players have hired personal coaches to do extra sessions. Could someone post up whatever post game articles/analysis The Athletic had?

I heard that too . Where in Scotland or wherever would they get private coaches ?? That sounds bizarre and hard to believe.

It’s actually common enough but more for young lads trying to improve than established pros. Fairly damning

Like is it Kevesque extra S&C drills for overall fitness or literally a licenced football coach trying to improve lads’ first touch? Intriguing.
