I’ve seen Kris Ajer’s sister going ballistic watching his penalty, Erik Sviatchenko and son celebrating, Mika Lustig enjoying the scenes. Nice to see the ex players so involved.

While the game showcased many reasons why our defence of the league title has hit the rocks, it’s surely a night to be thankful - an Irish club becoming the first in the world to win a quadruple treble, managed by an Irishman, penalty shoot out hero an Irishman and defensive lynchpin an Irishman. What a night for Ireland. :four_leaf_clover::ireland::tada::soccer::beer::handshake:

Unreal video. Surreal without the crowd noise.

This season has been really bad, and I know we just won last season’s cup final to make it 12 trophies in a row so it might give a false impression, but the players and manager looked really together. The body language is fine, there doesn’t seem to be cliques or disruptive influences, everyone was well into it. So how are we such a shambles at times when we should be so much better?
