Celtic v Huns - Sunday, 12pm

It can’t be good news for Celtic the winners of the
League next season qualify automatically for the champions league group stage?

Young Turnbull is a decent footballer but lacks a yard of pace . Just see the highlights now and Steven Davis closed a fair aul gap when he shot for goal

If Celtic win the league it will be good news for them ?

I think his attitude is probably down to his mental state in more recent times. A player can’t get to his level with an ingrained bad attitude. No matter how talented, it still takes work and application. I’m not convinced that the atmosphere around the club at present is one of good man management. I wonder if the right manager may get him in a better place.

He’s had plenty of time to get himself right. He was given extended leave under Rodgers and it’s been going on for years. I’d be getting him to fuck and another good few with him.

He scored plenty when playing well, and was excellent before we signed him. If he had mental health issues, I’d rather support him at the age of 30 than cast him adrift personally.

With Kennedy at the helm there is no chance of that happening.

The issue seems to be that he’s been given a lot of support but he’s not really lived the lifestyle or the professionalism that a pro sportsperson needs in this day and age and as a result his physical conditioning is not near where it needs to be.

Maybe a new manager would improve this. The fact he’s 30 and has a year left on his contract I’d be inclined to keep him and say here’s 12 months to save your Celtic career but I don’t necessarily think he’s got enough in his napper to see that.

Possibly not, he must have been ok for a long period before and after signing though.

You get away with more in your early 20s and that than you do as you get on.

I think Brazilians are a good example, they don’t seem to live the cleanest of lifestyles and a lot of them are probably in serious decline by their late 20s - Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Adriano etc being good examples.

The older you get the more work you have to put in if you want to sustain your career.

It’s been going on for 3/4 years with Griffiths now. As has been said, he’s been taken out of the limelight, been given special leave and offered all sorts of support. I think he’s only played 8 full games in 2 seasons. Despite his talent, he’s an emblem of the malaise at Celtic now. He shouldn’t have been let away with it for so long. You can only Bressify someone for so long and I’m well aware of the sensitivities around mental health. But there’s a fine line between that and being unprofessional too. He seems to revert back to his old habits each time. He constantly breaks down injured, misses fitness/weight targets set by the sports science staff and so on. I’m going to resort to hearsay but doesn’t he enjoy an interesting lifestyle too? He’s meant to live with 2 or 3 women and has kids with each of them. Loves gambling and Tunnock’s Tea Cakes too. We can’t really lambast Lennon’s unprofessionalism in one breath and give the likes of Griffiths a pass with another.

Good result against the run away league leaders yesterday. Not many have taken points off Stevie G’s men

That is some top level hearsay

But funny nonetheless if there is any truth to it.

The club needs to appoint a decent manager and needs a massive clear out.

Bring back wee Fergus*

before @thedancingbaby was Celt

You can forget about Leigh Griffiths

That’s true and fair enough.

The bunnet?

Resorting to hearsay was a killer blow.
