Guys I think I’ll stand for election on a republican platform.
A real or pretend platform?
As real as it gets.
And how does that ambition square with following a British soccer club?
That flag has sad bastard written all over it.
200 miles to paradise
On the mainland.
Bobby Sands followed Villa mate. Does that make him less Republican?
Dunno.
To respond from Wednesday night to dispose of a very strong and improving Motherwell side takes some doing. What a football club.
Do ye not get a bit bored of winning all the time in Scotland and then getting hammered when ye play proper teams lads?
But we’re stronger now
Cause you showed us how
Freedom’s fight could be one
If we all stand as one.
Willie and Danny ringing loud and true through Temple Bar.
Please say it isn’t so…
I’d equate it to the Tipperary senior hurling championship. Winning it still means absolutely everything to Thurles Sarsfields even though they regularly flop when they meet teams outside their comfort zone. But we’ll still keep striving for more and pushing to get better. We’re going to go far in the Europa League.
Is Dublin’s All Ireland diminished by our international rules defeat?
Thurles get beat by one or two points or after extra time when they get out of Tipp, they don’t get hammered
That doesn’t make any sense, no Dublin players played in the International Rules
If they tried to play an expansive game like Celtic then they’d probably get soundly beaten.
Celtic’s expansiveness against PSG resulted in 37% possession and one shot on target
The Tipperary champions are probably the equivalent of the German or Spanish champions. They shouldn’t be going out meekly every year in the provincial championship. But they still celebrate their county achievements. Celtic play in a lesser league comparatively so they shouldn’t be held to the same standards. The Tipperary hurling championship is getting off lightly by contrast. Thurles Sarsfields are an embarrassment to celebrate winning anything in Tipperary.
The Tipperary champions are moreso the equivalent of the French champions in football terms. An overall poor standard of league with one team dominating, bar last year in France. Sars have big weaknesses in their forward line at the highest level and are a long way off the standard of Na Piarsaigh.
Back to Celtic, I simply asked if ye get bored of knowing ye will win everything in Scotland and knowing ye will get hammered against the top teams. I think I would find it very boring to follow a team like that
