Celtic v Motherwell ☘

Kkkyyyoooogggoooooooo

Juranovic the cabbage.

Ffs sake

Completely dominated that half. Juranovic and Hatate unlucky with two great strikes off the woodwork. McGregor and Jota both should have scored easier chances. Especially McGregor. And Kyogo unlucky with that header after the Hatate shot.

Need to keep that pace up in the second half and not get frustrated.

What was McGregor sent off for?

A professional foul. Hatate played a very careless pass that played Moult in near the end and McGregor hauled him down.

I thought we played quite well today but had too many sloppy moments in front of both goals.

What’s the prognosis on the centre backs and Giakoumakis? Jenz/Jens is unproven and Welsh isn’t good enough. As happened at St Mirren, I could see any journeyman SPL front combination giving them bother.

It was a strange game. They were fairly comfortable throughout but gifted one free header that Maguire made a mess of and no idea why they were so exposed. Welsh seemed to be unaware of the man behind him but at least was marking. No idea where Jenz was. I think our centre backs are stepping forward a lot this season and leaving gaps behind. Not sure if that’s problems in midfield, poor defensive play or a new strategy.

As shocking as Hatate’s pass was for the red card, the trouble started from us trying to keep the ball at the back. Jenz is ok on the ball but we shouldn’t be passing around our back four late in the game and Welsh isn’t really comfortable on the ball ever.

I meant, when are the first choice centre backs and Giakoumakis fit?!

I believe CCV is likely back midweek.

Giakoumakis has a sporting chance of being back midweek.

Starfelt is still a couple of weeks away
