Hail Hail The Celts Are Here…
Always something wonderful about Celtic goal celebrations in front of raging huns.
some alert defending
I didn’t realise Brendan O’Brien in Limerick has become a major Celtic pub. Rebel Band and hurling on TV there late this evening. Great craic.
It’s amuses me the amount of goals Celtic have scored against them since Ange took over from quick restarts - freekicks, throw-ins - or generally being sharper to react. Today’s goal had the quick freekick from McGregor to O’Riley before Maeda’s quick reaction to cross to Jota while 3 or 4 huns stopped. There were 2 goals in the 4-0 at Celtic Park in September from quick restarts & at least one last season too. It amuses me in particular because the huns ridiculed & ripped the piss when Celtic released the footage & audio of Ange’s first training session after he was appointed. They thought the We Never Stop stuff was cringe & embarrassing.
surely its mcgregors last season in goals for them, its great his last meaningful games against Celtic have all been defeats
The angriest man in football.
he has passed the baton to cantwell for the most hateful hun
You can shove the coronation up your arse
He wouldn’t get a game league 1 in England . Finished as a respectable keeper
He was very anxious when the ball went back to him today. Sliced a few & blemmed another lot straight out of play. He looked really immobile in getting down to routine saves too, Kyogo’s one in the second half that was struck tamely with a nice curl on it nearly beat him. I think we all called him being done by the end of last season but that’s been driven home now, & the Jota goal at Celtic Park recently put a stamp on it. I actually didn’t laugh at his effort to deal with Scales’ shot last week as I thought it might jinx Celtic today but that was pathetic too. He’s also become meeker & quieter onfield as he surely knows he’s past it.
A great unique angle:
I really hope he made the pew pew sounds while pretending to shoot the Celtic supporters.
Missile thrown hard there too but high and wide as you’d expect these days. I think it’s unnecessarily antagonistic celebrating like that in front of opposition supporters tbh, especially given the history of hatred, but it takes cojones, and you do love to see it.
Also, the nice thing was the goal coming from a stonewall free not given, though I thought the ref was good.
The Limerick Men are like the Dubliners crossed with the Wolfe Tones, but their pure Limerickness makes them better again.
