What’s the history behind that?
Don’t think there’s any history between Davies and Brown, but players from Aberdeen, Motherwell (later rescinded) and now Ross County have received straight red cards for tackles/lunges/assaults on Brown lately.
There’s probably an element of seethe that he runs the midfield for the dominant team in the league. But it seems to have ramped up since Craig Levein mentioned Brown on numerous occasions a while back, even when Celtic weren’t playing Hearts. It’s rare for an opposing manager to single out an individual player, even rarer when not playing them. He was whingeing about Brown being too aggressive and getting away with a lot and so on.
