Not much creativity but we’re bossing midfield now.
Sinclair having a shocker.
He was very quiet before his goal last week, hopefully that’s a sign of things to come.
Finished that half much stronger obviously. Took a long time to get going, not helped by the pitch and we were a bit too tentative on the ball. Brown then got stuck in a but and we started to dominate. Well on top now.
Smashing save by Gordon at 0-0 and might need him again the way we’re defending.
Think we should go on and score a couple more. Armstrong and Brown are dominating in the middle with Bitton comfortable behind them. Dembele has had a couple of half chances and won’t take much for Sinclair to click. Roberts coming on will be a huge boost too.

Great strike by Armstrong but Celtic have been quite poor. I don’t think anybody has played anywhere near their best level and Sevco were the better side early on.
I don’t think we strung together a period of concerted possession until at least 25 minutes in, albeit we all know the pitch is a disaster. It might have helped us for the goal with the Sevconian missing his kick before Armstrong nipped in and won it.
Sviatchenko was an absolute hazard early on. Falling over, giving fouls away, giving the ball away and then Boyata made an awful error for Waghorn’s miss / Gordon’s save. Bitton has been weak as piss for the most part too and loads of players have been off with their passing.
It got to the stage where floating a ball down the channel or over the top was the best option for us as we weren’t keeping the ball anyway and they’re petrified of Dembélé and giving us cheap throws and corners.
Brown belatedly started getting into it and driving us forward and they seemed to collectively sink a bit once we scored. It takes a lot of concentration and fitness to try to nullify a team and we should be able to exploit gaps in the second half.
I’d like to see us show more composure though. It wasn’t great in the first half.

Agreed with that but think we did improve fairly dramatically before the goal and we’ve kept that up since. The pitch certainly isn’t helping but we didn’t start with enough conviction until Brown started putting himself about.

Brown holding now that Bitton is off. Thought we’d drop Armstrong back too and go for the earlier season formation because Brown won’t be as static as Bitton but we’re keeping the same formation.

Sviatchenko is having a nightmare.

Very disappointing down the left today.
Slow start to this half too but beginning to get on top again. Roberts for Forrest soon hopefully.
