Celtic v St Johnstone ☘

Johnston back starting.

Injuries have really decimated that starting lineup

FYI I have backed Scalesy today.

Weakish bench but still a strong enough eleven for today’s task :four_leaf_clover:

O Riley has to be finishing them

I think we played fairly well in that half. Much better than last week anyway.

Yang has been very good

O’Riley should have scored twice and Kyogo was probably unlucky but could have scored too.

Another one from O’Riley. He’s playing well but three great chances he’s hit straight at the keeper.

Celtic are incredibly slow in all aspects of the game. Irrespective of what happens in the time that’s left today Sevco are going to do a number on us next week. I hope I’m wrong obviously but I think there’s something seriously wrong within the first team at the moment.

Is it too early to say we are at crisis point

Ah Jesus.

That’s awful.

Some awful performances there. The whole tactics look stale.

Scales is miles and miles off the level required. Same goes for Ralston and Bernabei when they came on. Both were brutal.

And Forrest is hardly the solution either

Brutal and lots of improvement needed immediately

Must be a very long time since Celtic failed to score in two consecutive games. We know next week is going to be bad but even if all comes to all we will only be two points behind heading into the international break. Quality players need to come in of course but Rodgers needs to change tactics because if he doesn’t I fear that Kyogo in particular could go elsewhere. Current tactics not his game at all. Look at the players who are not at the required standard: Hart, Ralston, Scales, Bernabei, Forest, Turnbull all of whom played a part today. Calmac and MoR can do it but are badly out of form as is Maeda. Instead of building over the summer the bean counters now have 6 days to get in quality or else hand the Huns qualification for the Champs League next year. Jesus even the mention of the CL has me worried about how bad this years games will be: at the moment and depending on the draw we could take over the title of worst ever champions league team…

Lawwell is probably thinking if there is a fans revolt and the rat leaves I’ll get Lennon back…

I think the only real positive is the level of absentees. Two centre backs, Johnston reduced involvement and Hatate would surely have started. Oh would have come on.

Mooy has been a big loss to the team as well as Jota. We brought on Haksabanovic to play midfield today because Turnbull isn’t good enough but we’re at least one short. I did think Iwata going on and pushing McGregor further forward might have made more sense. But McGregor has been really poor.
