Celtic vs St Johnstone

A 50 year club record will be equalled tonight if Rodgers Rebels avoid defeat.

The Lisbon Lions went 26 domestic games unbeaten at the start of the 66/67 season.

Whilst Big Jock’s side are deservedly held in high regard at the club, the current crop could be the best yet.

I wish them well.

Scott Brown will make his 400th appearance for Celtic tonight too.

@Rocko, will you post up a match link later on please?

I don’t know if Rodgers is putting Boyata in the proverbial shop window these last two games or if he was spooked by Sviatchenko shitting himself in the first half at Ibrox on New Year’s Eve.

It’s also interesting to see Bitton starting for the second game in a row after the winter break.

Lustig misses out tonight after tweaking his back on Sunday.

Shall do. I’m late home from work so might not get to action this on time. Should get one here though in a while.

He was really bigging Boyata up there at the weekend.

Yeah and I wasn’t sure if that was ahead of genuinely giving him a run in the team or trying to talk him up to alert potential suitors. They’d hardly fall for the latter.

He successfully pawned Downing off for a decent fee when at Liverpool though he had to give him a run in the side.

Boyata could still have something to offer.

Has Ambrose been jettisoned yet?

He’s still at Celtic. Apparently wants to remain in the UK for residency / passport reasons.

What a cunt.

Haven’t found a stream yet, bhoys.

That didn’t look over the line.

Sinclair header disallowed. Ball marginally over end line before Forrest’s cross apparently. Dubious call.

Tierney has started very well.

I think Boyata has potential to be an ok player for us. No doubt he’s been shit in his Celtic career so far but I think there’s a player there somewhere.

Bitton is getting written off too quickly by many fans. He’s certainly good enough to be in and around the squad. I don’t think he’d have a high sale value at the moment and he’s not worth cashing in on. He’s the type of squad player I’d rather have, a step up from replacements in previous years and if he delivered on all his potential he could develop into a valuable player.

St Johnstone very close twice there. Boyata did well the first time, post saved us the second time.

Our record is in grave danger here, bhoys.

Applying a bit more pressure now. Roberts won’t be long coming on you’d think.

Roberts for Forrest

Sinclair so close.

Wonderful from Roberts. Absolutely wonderful.
