Anybody who saw the UCC and Cork RTC “firms” going at it on the Mardyke Walk before the 2012 Fitzgibbon Cup final will never forget it.

Absolutely fantastic to have Jim Beglin back on RTE on a regular basis. :clap:

Watching the Basel-Porto game here, Basel lead 1-0.

Walter Samuel, a month shy of his 37th birthday has been an absolute rock at the back tonight - fuck you, @farmerinthecity.

Disgraceful award of a penalty against Samuel has Porto level.

The ball hit Samuel’s arm when he slid in for to block a cross at the byline, completely unintentional and never should have been awarded.

Some strike by Marcelo with his bad foot to put Real Madrid 2-0 up.

(David?) Platte had just cracked a brilliant effort off the bar before it.

1-1 at FT.

Basel didn’t look great, relied on some good rearguard action but were dominated in midfield and didn’t create much going forward.

Kenny and Richie arguing bitterly about Ronaldo’s 30th birthday party.

:smiley: Their heart isn’t even in it. Was thinking the panel were very chummy and agreeing with each other. Liam seemed to be enjoying it. ‘Ronaldo was gonna lose his booking fee’

That goal by Basel was superb. Great ball through three beautiful touches to finish.

Chelsea racist suspect is a former RUC officer and current director of a human rights organisation. :eek:

Uh oh this could be the end

RUC = Ulster Protestants
Ulster Protestants = Ireland’s Call
Ireland’s Call = IRFU
IRFU = Racists

While Barcelona have an excellent record in the Champions League knock out stages over the last decade or so they don’t win all that many knockout games away from home even when at the peak of their power

City at 11/4 tonight or 4/5 for City and the draw both look like serious value bets

Really looking forward to this game tonight, The tie of the round for me.

What game are people watching tonight - can’t decide myself. Both very appealing

Kompany:rolleyes:

He’s hilariously bad.

Hee Haw Kompany again.

Delighted for Suarez - I hope the likes of Alan Shearer are seething.

1-1 in the other game*. Tever and Reus with the goals

Apologies to anyone who will be watching deferred coverage of it
