Are you alleging that he only got a game because he fooled Arsene Wenger with an e-mail claiming that he could make him rich, and now has his bank account details?

@Sidney

Was that a record number of Brazilian born players to feature in a European match today?

All 4 PSG defenders, Thiago Motta, Lucas Moura, Willian, Diego Costa, Oscar, Kenedy.

I donā€™t know.

isnā€™t brazilian soccer at an all time lowā€¦

Boringly, Iā€™ve googled the line up from a random European tie that came to mind, the first leg of the 2006 Champions League semi-final between AC Milan and Barcelona, and found that 8 Brazilian born players featured.

These were:
Dida
Kaka
Serginho
Cafu
Edmilson
Belletti
Ronaldinho
Thiago Motta

Deco would have made it nine but appears to have been suspended.

The second leg again featured 8 Brazilian born players, with Deco playing but Thiago Motta being an unused substitute.

Iā€™m guessing a Shakhtar Donetsk v PSG or Barcelona might do it.

You cant underestimate the advantage the away team in a 2nd leg like this has. Bar a barca, getting a goal 1st like that and evening things up was huge. Any 2nd away goal would be huge and mean a huge clawback. Midfield isnt there for chelsea anymore and that being in front of the play and making things happen is paramount at this level . Cesc had it but seems to have lost it. Psg did it in patches but for 2 evenly matched sides that ability to play with the heads up in midfield and pick gaps, along with that advantage of the 2nd leg away did it for them. Costa was a loss yes but he is seriously greedy and overrated. Deligted for psg and the big sweede he is a joy when up for it. If they get a good draw theyll go to semi but thats it id say. A very good game and pity william didnt go to spurs that time.

They werenā€™t evenly matched, PSG were clearly better

They were very closely matched sides. There was v little in it. Psg played the nicer football, through midfield id agree. Both sides would be sf material. Fair play to psg was delighted they won, donā€™t think theyā€™ll get past semi though .they also had the big swede although getting on is a match winner on his day Chelsea didnā€™t have one

Blow to Irelandā€™s hopes of qualifying from the group in France with that rash and dumb bastard Vincent Kompany hobbling off injured. Iā€™d prefer him to be fit and at the heart of the Belgian defence.

Heā€™ll be well back in time mate, only looked like a pulled hamstring.

Heā€™s been dogged with injury these past few seasons. Heā€™ll never hold up during a tournament.

You never know, if his not fit it obviously massively suits us, I know his had his injury problems but I wouldā€™nt write him off just yet ahead of the summer.

Hamstring is a minor one.

Hart and Yaya having a bit of a row there, great to see.

The jokeā€™s over, pal. Quit it.

His demeanour on the injury suggested more than a mere hamstring. Check his record, he hasnā€™t put together a run of games for two seasons now. Aged 29, heā€™s not had a full season in about 3. Heā€™ll never make it through a tournament if he doesnt go off and get this right. Which he wont do.

Fair point, Iā€™m sure heā€™ll do everything possible to be there in June though.

Even if it is just to kick the bollix out of Hazard.
