Champions League 2017/18 - Matchday 1

What is that, pray tell ?

They show all the goals as they happen in every game on one channel. Entertaining enough if there’s no game you particularly want to see or you just want something on in the background

Loads of Hoops strolling around Puerto Del Carmen this evening. I’m looking forward to watching it with some scantily clad fenian princesses and their partners

Commentator’s eye.

Celtic played some smashing football there in the youth game. Massive difference since Shaun Maloney took over from Jim McGuinness. Fine margins with Regan Hendry missing a pelanty to put us 3-1 up and George Weah’s son Timothy scoring a cracking headed winner shortly after the equaliser. 2-3 at Dumbarton.

That’s potentially a bomb scare back four, with no cover at CB other than Blind.

@Bandage has had a premonition that Griffiths will score directly from a set piece.

PSG looking slick so far

Better from Celtic

Neymar with a quality finish on the counter after a lovely weighted through ball by Rabiot. Looked as though Sinclair was taken out off the ball in the lead up

Griffiths with a great free kick from 35 yards out tipped over. Smart save by the keeper

Lovely finish from Neymar.

Rabiot is a very classy player

Celtic need more from Griffiths and Sinclair who have been sloppy on the ball. Roberts has been lively.

Mbappe makes it two. Rabiot again with a lovely assist, this time a cushioned header. No shame in it, PSG are an excellent side

Rabiot is giving a masterclass here. Another excellent pass and the resultant cross leads to a penalty

This will get very ugly.

celtic usually grow into the competition
this is really their first competitive game of the season so you cant just switch from playing in a league game against say aberdeen where you can give players loads of space and not worry about the consequences to doing it at this level, by gameday 3 or 4 they’re usually tuned in and compete well… u see it a lot with the teams from poor leagues, Hapoel Beer Sheva would be a fine example last season for example from loosing against say celtic and Sparta Prague to beating Inter, Olympiakos and Southampton later on, its hard to go from playing Hapoel Ashkelon to then playing a team from Seria A, dundalk were an exception i must admit but maybe by the time they played the likes of zenit they were had played 10 games in europe where they continually had to rise above their norm so a few games in between against Bohs or Longford didnt really throw them

celtic will be fine, how is Brown playing tho? fking hell
