Champions League 2017/18 Matchday 5

Fucking hell. Neymar was phenomenal there.

That was very straightforward for them.

Rogic needed to be stronger on the ball he lost a minute before. He gave it up without a fuss. But they fairly glided past us once they got passing it.

Ntcham doing a good job pressing and breaking things up but he has been very poor on the ball

Now thatā€™s shit defending.

Bitton just wandering out for the sake of it. He has been woeful since coming on

Tierney sleeping a bit but nobody following back either. Very poor alright.

Bittonā€™s concession of the corner was casual and preventable. But giving away those kind of goals from a corner when itā€™s taken short and you donā€™t push out in a straight line is ridiculous.

He started really well. Think he was unlucky with the flick to McGregor because McGregor should have read it earlier. But he does need to add some ball security to his physical attributes.

I donā€™t think Rogic had it at this level. He just canā€™t take the ball in clean enough and isnā€™t strong enough to get out of trouble when heā€™s too late or bobbly with his first touch.

Rogic had a chance to slip DembĆ©lĆ© through first team there after Forrestā€™s dribble but didnā€™t see it.

Oh dear. This defending is disgraceful.

Ah these goals are getting really poor.

This could get very ugly bhoys

Simunovic was shocking there but a collective failure to take any sort ofresponsibility. Getting beaten on set pieces is very disappointing and preventable.

These guys can play a bit in fairness.

Sutton is right here. We canā€™t keep getting caught flat by runners from deep. Need to be dropping off a little and reading the play.

Bitton harshly penalised at the end of the half there

Very fussy from the referee.

Jaysus that started well. The goal obviously but that came from a good press that wasnā€™t frantic but put them into a corner. And then we got another 5 minutes of that, stole the ball a few times and looked dangerous on the break.

Bad error from Brown for the first goal. He might expect Ntcham to move towards him a little more but itā€™s a pointless pass then if heā€™s just leading him back towards his own goal. Lustig probably shouldnā€™t follow Cavani infield but I think he saw Boyata was ball watching which he was. But it left an easier pass out to Neymar and Neymar is some finisher.

Even then we still did well enough until the second goal. They still looked threatening obviously but we had decent enough possession, a few breaks and looked ok.

Fairly calamitous from then on

Iā€™m seething about those two set piece concessions.

Scoreless in Brussels too. We could do with Bayern Munich scoring there.

Does it make a difference?
