Dundalk have been excellent since the goal
Years ago sometime in the mid 80s I was getting a train back from Waterford to Dublin on a Sunday evening. I had a lovely seat with a table and was settling in when a gang of Dundalk fans rushed the train just before it pulled off. Three absolute lugs sat in beside me and started chanting Dindawk D Shed at full volume. Lug no1 who had all the appearances of a lad who would moon out the window in a heartbeat asks me was I at the match. Dundalk has been playing a cup semi final in Kilcohan. I wasn’t an LoI fan and told yer man as much and he spewed some abuse at me. At that point I put the Walkman on.
After a while your man says to me Hey what are you listening to? Christy Moore I said. Who says your man. Christy Moore. Never heard of him. What kind of music does he play. Fearing the worst I whispered folk. Wha, says your man. FOLK I bellowed. Hey lads there’s a lad here listening to folk music. Did you ever hear anything like it. He went up and down the carriage bringing Dundalk fansto see a real life person who listened to folk.
I have had a disdain for Dundalk ever since.

Early to say. He is fast and gets up and down his wing. Few nice crosses in his games so far but a few sloppy touches too.
