The fucking rat is clueless
This has been a mixture of naïveté & misfortune, a litany of the things I’ve seen in many Celtic away CL fixtures. It obviously became impossible with 9 men but I saw enough in the earlier part of the game to think we can reverse this result in the home game.
Scales was good
Brendan tucking his shirt into the arse of his trousers there. Obviously totally focused on the game.
Lazio keeper has equalised in injury time in the other game in the group.
Handy win in the end for City in 2nd gear
Absolute scenes
Hard to know what to make of that.
Contrary to what Ray thinks, the two red cards completely changed the game and ended it. We had played quite well before then, albeit with some self inflicted errors.
Defence definitely looked like it was missing a couple of players, which it was. Lagerbielke’s first booking was silly. Think the penalty was very soft but was never going to be overturned.
Rodgers I think got the tactics mostly right. We pressed at the right times and generally matched them on the ball and got Hatate into space a lot of times. Just didn’t come off on the night with Hatate looking rusty.
A trip to Meadowbank Thistle in the League of Scotland at the weekend and a 0-6 or 0-7 win will do wonders to restore morale.
Agreed. There were moments at 0-0 when a better decision or cleaner pass would have put someone through for a great chance. It goes without typing that we need to cut out self-inflicted defensive mistakes but you won’t get chance after chance at this level to pick out the right pass in the final third. We needed to do it & get ahead. The red cards, in particular the second one, obviously ended our chances of getting back into the game. It was a bit unlucky but we didn’t help ourselves either & it was a game in hindsight we could have taken something from. On the other hand, when you’re 2-0 down with 9 men & there’s plenty of time on the clock…it could have ended up being a bigger defeat.
Mudryk could only dream of that sort of goalscoring return
The apology will follow I’m sure
I hope we kept the receipt for Lagerbielke.
Palma didn’t look up to it, hopeful he might at least improve though
Was going to make that point RTE are saying now. Players aren’t allowed to join the wall like that any more. Dreadful goal to concede but those marginal subjective calls went against us tonight when the game was in the balance.
Do we play these cunts again in the 5th or 6th game?
Last game
6th acc to Bren there
Great to hear the City fans still booing the Champions League anthem
Julien Alvarez might be the second best striker the world has ever seen
Brilliant signing. Is only going to get better.
