Champions League 2024/2025

My God that was ridiculous.

4-1 Lisbon. Hat trick for the new Haaland

I’d say Noel isn’t enjoying his night on the mic - granted he did say he’d have taken the draw before the game

He also said there’d be goals in the second half. Prescient.

There was goals in the first half too tbf, Haaland missed a ridiculous amount. Both sides a wee bit open.

Filthy from Rudiger.

@thedancingbaby running onto the pitch. Excitement got the better of him.

Joe Hart is brilliant on co commentary

Joe has always been an alright sort. Got a weirdly raw deal on here

Rogers really tapping into Damien Duff’s words last week - anything is possible once you believe and work hard

Slot has us purring. I didn’t think it was possible that history could repeat itself but he’s starting to look like the Paisley to Klopp’s Shankly.

Idah has a lazy disposition. Being the only Celtic player wearing gloves does him no favours

City in a bad place. They need the international break and to get some bodies back. Pep will earn his money this season. Players look tired.

Ah that was unreal. Magnificent performance. Played through their press at the right times. Pressed high ourselves but at the right times. Some beautiful attacking football. Great grit from the likes of Johnston and Trusty, wonderful composure on the ball from Hatate and the midfield and lethal wingers.

I’ll be charging @thedancingbaby an appropriate “surge pricing” premium on the tickets given that performance.

That was the statement win we were looking for. I used the word “signature” by accident in my preview. An absolutely outstanding display. They were sensational in every aspect - technical quality, pressing, duels, pace, power, shape, game management. Really mature & devastatingly good. Stick this post in the footix thread, that was magnificent. I also apologise to the captain, McGregor gave a Giro D’Italia in the second half. Hatate was on another level. Kuhn was electric. Neil Lennon calling it the best home European display in 25 years on TNT Sport & better than anything seen from the Martin O’Neill days onwards. Very modest given his scalp of Barcelona too.

Trusty shows how important natural athleticism is at the highest level . If you ain’t got pace and power youve nothing .
