Nothing like a bit of hyperbole, Pikeman
Barca are playing some lovely stuff now but I agree with you that Manchester United are only a couple of changes away from getting back into it. Tevez upfront and Ronaldo out wide for a start. That would mean Park coming off and Giggs should be sacrificed too.
Yeah they certainly have scope for improvement and they can make things better. Won’t be backing them because I think Barca can and will improve also but United haven’t played yet (apart from the first 10 minutes).
Tevez my bollox, I can’t see him making any impact on this game if he comes on. Berbatov for Giggs is one possibility but I would be surprised if Ferguson changes it at HT. The 60-65 mark is when he’ll probably make the first change, assuming it’s still 1-0 at that stage.
I’ve a feeling it won’t finish 1-0 though. I wouldn’t be surprised if United wgot level and then Barcelona just step it up again and win 2-1.
Not exaggerating at all. Even the great Johnny Giles has just said Barcelona have given United a lesson in football.
…or else maybe no-one in Europe has given them the runaround like this all season, and this is honestly as good as they are (or at least this is as good as they are minus Hargreaves and Fletcher).
I think Busquets is looking quite tentative in midfield and Sylvinho would find Ronaldo running at him quite difficult to cope with.
Iniesta has been utterly sensational though and Barca are knocking it around beautifully now. Messi playing inside for the majority of the game and Eto’o going wide right has probably caught United unawares.
Only realise how much he contributes when he’s missing. Park doesn’t know if he wants a shit or a haircut. Has to be taken off and giggs.
I don’t think anyone can question whos better between messi and ronaldo after this match
Could be… just haven’t seen much effort even, nevermind class. There’s no doubt that Barca are the most talented footballing team, just can’t see United surrendering so meekly.
Disagree with you on Tevez too, he’s exactly who they need I think.
come on Fergie…throw on scholes, berba, tevez and go for it…get carrick to sit and tell anderson, giggs and sing to leave some hot watr in the showers for the lads playing the full 90…
United have so many players off form though they would do well to turn this around. Vidic has looked nervous. Their full backs who were expected to be poor have been ok actually. Carrick has struggled under pressure, Anderson been awful, Park trying hard but not much quality, Giggs rubbish and should be replaced, Rooney nothing and only Ronaldo of their attacking players has looked sharp. Thats a lot of players that need to improve imo.
Barca could do with Henry picking it up a bit. I think he hasnt really been in the game. Xavi and Iniesta running the game totally and the quick movement of Eto’o and Messi into the central area has the United central midfield chasing shadows in a big way.
Tevez coming on.

Busquets looking good there to me anyway Bandage. Even Sylvinho is playing well against Park but won’t be able to do much but defend if Ronaldo goes out right.
C’mon Bara!
Interesting - Park left, Rooney right and Ronaldo still central but playing off Tevez. This should be really open and attacking now.
has anyone on either team been tackled in centre circle yet??..
United could either get right back into it with their attacking power or else Giggs and Carrick might get the complete runaround from the Barca midfield three now they’ve gone 4-4-1-1. We’ll see.
The only danger that park has is to low flying pigeons
Sylvinho having a great game so far.
Should have been 2-0 there with Henry’s chance.
And Messi was nearly in there.
Penalty?
Feckin hit the post.
Game should be out of sight.

But it’s not.
United have character all right so Barca need to make their domination count.
