I felt that Gundongan really faded out of the game in the second half. Dortmund suffered from a lack of options on the bench. Grosskreutz tired and got very lazy in getting sucked inside which allowed Robben/Muller/Lahm to get great joy down the right flank. Unlucky Dortmund.
It’s no surprise obviously but Dunphy is miles wide of the mark here. If they win the next 5 European Cups it will be awful because they’re overrated. They’d be some overrated team to win those trophies.
It’s 2001 all over again. Bayern win in Europe, Baltimore win across the pond, Ronnie O’Sullivan is the King of the Crucible and Liverpool complete a glorious treble.
That’s also good news for Galway football fans who will be celebrating the return of Sam in September and Irish football fans who can now book their tickets for Brazil next year.
