Champions League - Last 16

My prediction that Madrid would win the tournament is

Nick Collins: “How important was tonight in removing an obstacle to you winning the trophy in May?”

Jose Mourinho: “Of course but there are other great teams. Nobody speaks about Dortmund - I played them twice in the groups and they are fantastic. And Celtic are Celtic too.”

Mourinho clearly thinks Celtic will go through tomorrow night.

Watching the highlights and Townsend’s comments about Diego Lopez. What a tit - completely oblivious to his years of quality displays for Villarreal.

He is praying Juventus do Real a favour alright.

Thumping header for Dortmund’s first

Surely that’s the end of the road for Nani at Man Utd? His ridiculous decision has cost them dearly.

It remains Liverpool 5 European cups, Man Utd 3.

Congratulations.

FingalRaven is offline but he asked me to pass on the below message. He blames Ferguson’s tactical ineptitude after the sending off for the defeat. He argues that instead of moving from 4 lines and the 4-2-3-1 to 3 lines and a 4-4-1 with Welbeck going left, Ferguson should conversely have added a 5th line:

“Arrigo Sacchi says football is all about space - make the pitch bigger when we have the ball, make it smaller when they have the ball. For me a 4-1-1-2-1 would have done this as playing in 3 lines and going 4-4-1 is archaic these days.”

Ferdinand should get done for that. What a cunt he is.

Sure what does it matter now.

Howard Webb is in charge for Uniteds next game against Chelsea in the cup. The best refs for the big games.

The drug-test-dodger went back to shake the ref’s hand a minute or so later…obviously to try and worm his way out of later censure.

Admittedly I said earlier that Ferguson got his tactics and selection right. But in hindsight starting that Turk instead of Webb was a grave error.

All this whinging about the sending off … Did the ref score the two goals also? Liverpool came back from 3 down in Istanbul with Djimi Traore in the team.
