The defending for Iniesta’s was disgraceful. 5 Celtic players within about 8 yards of Iniesta and not one of them got close to him.

Great point by Derek Rae. Tonight is like match play or stableford golf. It’s been beyond chastening but it’s not fatal. It’s akin to one terrible hole but it’s not stroke play. We have 5 more chances. We’re level with Borussia and Manchester City in this group. All to play for.

Barcelona were class but Celtic’s defensive organisation generally combined with unforced errors for 3 or 4 of the goals was fairly brutal. I prefer 4-5-1 to 5-4-1 when playing against a front 3, bhoys. Stringing 5 across our box and giving them space to move the ball around and advance towards our goal at pace was a recipe for disaster. Need more men in midfield to engage them further forward and prevent attacks at source before they get to the box. That said, we would have been pumped irrespective of the system. It was a humiliating night and Brendan Rodgers needs to take these harsh lessons on board.
