I’d have started Ntcham instead of Armstrong probably.
Celtic at 5/6 here is an early Christmas present
Anderlecht miss a sitter to go 1 up
Gordon did very very well in fairness.
Lively start from United, good to see Luke Shaw starting.
Forrest has gone down a second time which really isn’t ideal with Roberts already ruled out for a long time.
Great play from Tierney there. He is a gem
Sinclair looking a bit livelier tonight.
Armstrong has been poor.
That’s at least the third time Armstrong has lost the ball carelessly.
Celtic aren’t putting any concerted spells of possession together.
Our defensive line isn’t good enough at this level. Very ragged there and too many players sucked towards the ball.
I’d be close to taking Armstrong off. He’s not showing for it. He keeps giving it away and he didn’t track his man at all there.
We’ve changed our shape here but still struggling.
This is a terrible display by Celtic.
Boyata and Armstrong having their own competition here to give the ball away most.
Sinclair getting in on it too.
I think we’ve six or seven players playing really poorly.
Dembele, Sinclair, Armstrong, Boyata are really poor. Lustig has been bad. Forrest and McGregor not doing enough.
Very flat showing. Little urgency. I expect Brendan to give them a stern telling off at half time
If we’re going to retain this set up with a central attacker behind Dembélé then I’d bring Rogic on for Sinclair - he doesn’t look comfortable there. I’d also get Ntcham on for Armstrong to help us build up some passes. It’s weird how much space they’re getting centrally despite Celtic in theory having three in central midfield. Disappointing stuff - I know we have a 3 goal lead in the head to head but I was looking for a statement performance.

Manager’s eye.
Ntcham and Rogic for Armstrong and Sinclair.
Yeah this is surprising to me. Usually McGregor is good for getting us possession in midfield and I think we expected to be able to sustain possession with that setup. Hopefully the changes will bring that about with Ntcham playing deeper instead of having Armstrong wandering about a bit all over the place.
