Champions League - Matchday Three

You should treat my comment as anti Ajax more than pro Kayal.

+1

really? did they bring the maccabi TA flags tonight, those 2 clubs are very strongly linked
Mac TA are cunts
Had to go to dinner tonight so didnā€™t see the game. Caught the final views of the panel on Setanta, they seemed to reckon we deserved to win but were quite lucky in the the manner of the goals and that Ajax were extremely wasteful in the chances they created.

They also seemed to be saying that we were very open tonight which is quite unusual given that we have been quite compact and rigid in our opening two CL matches. Good result for Celtic anyway.

How did Stokes, Kayal and Pukki play?
Dinner FFS.

Ajax had a couple of chances but not a glut. We were relatively comfortable defensively, though Forster played well. It wasnā€™t a result againat the run of play or anything.

We werenā€™t paticularly open, most of the their chances and half chances came from lucky breaks. We didnā€™t have quite the same defensive discipline but that was a deliberate result of our more attacking or counter attacking formation.

Youā€™re a fucking fraud.

Anyone who haa ever criticised Forster should apologise tonight. He was terrific.

I made 2 wonderful predictions to @Bandage before and during the game tonight. We were talking about penalty takers in the absence of Commons before the start and I felt Forest would be selected, as the player who most enjoys a Lennonā€™s trust.

As Sammy crossed the ball for the second goal I called a Kayal shot and goal before he even came onto the screen. I just had a feeling. Iā€™m wonderful like that.

Forrest is an anagram of Forster.

No particular reason for posting that except that I noticed it.

Look it. I donā€™t want to fall out with you, pal. But Forsterā€™s had around 17 horrific SPFL matches over the past few years and it used to seriously bother me.

But now Iā€™ve come to accept that weā€™ll win the league anyway and he can pick and choose his games. Heā€™s not dislike me in work in that regard - I can go through the motions on occasion but give me the sniff of a big time financing opportunity and I will crawl over glass to win the business.

Thatā€™s like Forster in the Champions League - he rises to it and doesnā€™t let anything get in his way. He may let in a shitty goal against dross like Ross County now and again and Joe Hart may make an outstanding save against similar dross like Aston Villa now and again too.

But we all know Forsterā€™s world class and Hart isnā€™t because we watch the Champions League. The Sky Sports highlights show at 10pm didnā€™t even show his excellent saves tonight. The 1 on 1 to preserve our lead just before we scored the second goal was superb.

Jamie Redknapp gets an awful lot of stick for mixed metaphors but heā€™s a really, really good pundit in my opinion.

You are a fucking idiot.

A top, top pundit, even?

The man was glued to the England game last week while Ireland were playing, mate-he is a very confused young man.

Exactly.

He just compared Diego Simeone to Neil Lennon both in terms of their playing style and managerial achievements.

A top, top comparison.

el cholo is a level above lennon ā€¦

Jamie also said that Celtic leave nothing on the pitch. He said it when praising them but I have no idea what he meant.

I have an idea.

You are a fucking cunt.

I would certainly prefer him to a lot of the other clowns around.

That said he does talk some outrageous shite at times.

Jamie is much improved as a pundit. He still has issues with the language but that should improve if he spends a bit more time in England. He has a bit to say though in fairness, heā€™s just not always the most eloquent in how he says it.
