If ever a goal summed up Brendan Rodgers luck in Europe. Celtic would have traded in those two victories over Lazio under Neil Lennon in the Europa for a win tonight.
That Fabian Schär goal is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Impeccable timing on a tackle for an 80:20 ball and curls a pearler from 25 yards against a goalie of Donorumas quality.

Newcastle look like a proper cup side as opposed to a team that can sustain a 38 game domestic league campaign. Wouldnt surprise me if they do something like Spurs did a few years ago and reach a champions league final. They have a few heavy hitters in the group as well that they could eliminate. Especially with that St James Park home advantage.
They should have known better than to hire Rodgers.
