There are 2 other European competitions with prize money for less successful teams. They’ve added another European competition to stop teams from getting hammered in the big leagues.

there may be an implied closed shop due to structures and coefficients etc but it’s not stated in rules and can be changed.
I think it’s an unfair system that looks after the interests of the greedy 12 and big clubs from the big 5 leagues.

The other competition they have added offers a fraction of the revenue the Champions League which could now seemingly qualify teams that finish 10th in their league. It’s embarrassing.

Take Arsenal and Spurs. They get in and it bumps their coeff by being in. But last year they weren’t 5th. Leicester were.
So let’s say you get the same league places again for the 3 teams next year, Arsenal and Spurs get in again? Etc etc…

Yeah this is what it’s designed to do. Reduce or eliminate the risk for clubs of not qualifying because God forbid they were shit at football.

Hey -Liverpool have had a really bad year with injuries, you cant not let them back into the CL because of a bit of bad luck. West Ham are hardly deserving of replacing them, they’re a stupid club.
