Champions League - Round of 72

every year they embarrass us

Losing to the 2 time defending Norwegian champions, managed by the legendary Solskjaer, is nowhere near as embarrassing as losing to those Lithuanian no-marks that dumped you out last year was.

It will be a long time before you’re in the Champions League, so the coefficient is not something you should be fretting about.

Is Solskajaer a legendary manager?

Never said he was:rolleyes:

But he’s better than Trevor Croly:p

Come back to me when the Shams are in the Champions League;)

Cliftonville or Celtic versus Elfsborg or Daugava.

Elfsborg lead 7-1 from the first leg so another tie against Swedish opposition is almost certain after the game against Helsingborgs last season.

Mo Bangura is on loan at Elfsborg from Celtic. Apparently he’s allowed to play under UEFA rules unless the clubs have a direct agreement.

easy draw for Celtic
maccabi TA and sligo are fooked

Van Dijk has fractured a bone in bus foot so will be missing the return Cliftonville leg and the next two matches, should we progress.

What TV station is showing Celtic-Cliftonville tonight?

As an aside, I see Andrea Pirlo saying in the media today that it’s “an insult” for Celtic to have to go through a pre-qualifying process.

Bus foot?

That’s be the hot weather of late mate

Tal ben haim, ( not the useless ould cunt who plays for QPR) put Mac TA 1 up
3-0 on aggregate
match only kicked off at 9-45pm local, heat is fking incredible tonight
sligo got beat 2 nothing

1-0 to Celtic. Efe Ambrose with the goal and yet again excelling at the highest level of club football.

Stan Petrov is in attendance tonight and has just received a wonderful ovation from the Celtic support in the 19th minute.

Bandage, lets try and find out about Elfsborg and see what they’re worth, 11-1 on agg against the Latvian champions shows at least they can score goals but the quality of the opposition must be questioned.
trying to assess swedish domestic football standards to date, Drogeheda did hold Malmo 0-0 in their UEFA cup first round game a few weeks ago in dublin, malmo won the return 2-0, Malmo went on to beat Hibs last week. id say Drogedha are probably a better side then Billy Fenlon’s Hibs anyway so that result was to be eaxpected
So, if we say celtic hammered cliftonvile, drogheda are slightly better than cliftonville but are a bit behind Malmo, celtic usually beat hibs well… given that malmo beat drogheda and hibs not too convincingly it is fair to say that malmo would be the equivilant to a mid table SPL or lower half airtricity league team…

Bandage, please check malmo’s results vs elfsborg last season, then we should be able to predict the outcome

thanks

Bandage
please comment on my hypothesis
