Deflection alright but Fraser Forster would have saved that.
Means Barca have much less of an option to rest Messi now if he’s not fully fit, and that could have knock on implications for the rest of the competition even if Barca still qualify.

Madrid will walk this.
Valdes couldnt have done much. Wicked deflection on that.
That was very disappointing from Juventus, they will be sore after that but I think they are capable of putting in a performance at the Juventus Stadium. Only Chiellini and Lichsteiner were up to scratch tonight and they looked uncomfortable when being pressed at the back. On another note, there is a shocking lack of atmosphere at the Munich Stadium.
A goal and an assist for Zlatan tonight and also that disallowed one near the end. I’d like to see that one again.
I called that in November and the Utd crowd scoffed, lambasted and ridiculed me for it.
Apart from Shan, none of them would know a goddamn thing about football mate. Barring further UEFA conspiracies, this is José’s swansong to Madrid.
I though Thiago Silva was imperious tonight, he is one of the greatest defenders I have ever seen.
There’s a shocking lack of atmosphere at pretty much every stadium in Europe these days, mate - that’s all-seater stadiums for you, that’s the way UEFA like it.
David Beckham - a great footballer, a great man.
Maybe so, but usually games at this level would generate better atmospheres. The atmosphere in Paris seemed a lot more vociferous and the two games between Barcelona and Milan generated great atmospheres. Bayern are a bunch of boring Germans.
A lovely fella.
Snazzy dresser as well.
the spin took it in.
Saw this on twitter and found it mildly amusing
Years from now people will ask, “Where were you when David Beckham took his corner vs Barcelona?” And Henry Winter will say, “I was there.”

I don’t get it.
+1
Just watched extended highlights of the Bayern Munich - Juventus game. A replica of Juve’s first leg in Glasgow against Celtic in terms of the balance of the play with the home side again getting right after them and pinning Juve back into their own half for vast periods of the game. Juve’s rope-a-dope tactics didn’t pay off tonight though with Buffon decidedly off colour and there was no Bayern player having an Efe Ambrose either to gift them any away goals. In fairness, they scored 5 goals against Celtic from around 7 total chances in 2 games with over half of them handed to them by the opposition so I think this tie is over with Bayern’s pace and quality on the counter attack away from home.
I certainly think the early goal in this game and in the game at Celtic Park were crucial to defining the balance of the game. Juve looked toothless tonight though and were very conservative even at 1-0.
One of my relatives from the peninsula sent me this text after the game - “Bomber, they all say that Conte was crazy tonight but was he crazy, or was he crazy like a fox?”. I told him that I think it’s the latter.
