Surely The Runt will finally get a prediction right here.
I am going for Bayern v Barca and Real v Dortmund.
I think that Barca are very much beatable this year, they have looked very flat for the past few months and don’t look anywhere near the side of a couple of seasons ago. Both Puyol and Mascherano being out is another blow and both Milan and PSG could have knocked them out. I would like to see one of the German sides win it
How long are Puyol and Mascherano out for, Puke? The Catalan press are reporting that Messi won’t play any league games prior to the semi-final to ensure his injury is healed fully for it.
I imagine most of you have been doing your research ahead of this morning’s draw. Can we get predictions now please?
I’m going for:
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich;
Borussia Dortmund v Barcelona.
I also predict that some posters will get 2/2 and some will get 0/2. I’ll finish with the bold prediction that nobody will get 1/2.
Is there any restrictions on who can meet? Is it a completely open draw?
Mascherano is out for another month or so. They said 6 weeks when he was injured 10 days or so ago. Puyol is out since March after knee surgery and I haven’t heard any return date mentioned. Abidal is back but has very little football played in the last 6 months or so, Adriano was quite poor there against PSG and I could see Manzukic/Gomez, Lewandowski et al skinning him. They could move Busquets back and play Song or Cesc in midfield but that further weakens them IMHO
