jesus thatâs a horrible tie for Pats altogether
When i was on international business in dublin in december 2013 i drank on my own frequently in The Living Room at the top of O"Connell Street where they are showing the Polish equivilant of sky sports 1 and i must say the Polish football was of a very decent standard⌠Maor Melikson, a half decent Israeli player who was a target of Celtic not so long back played with Wisla Krakow before he moved to Valencinees there last year⌠Id imagine the Polish league is strong enough⌠back in the great days of Communisom their clubs were always featuring at the business end of competitions like the European Cup Winners Cup , @The Scouse Cafu , did united beat Legia in the 1991 CWC semi final?⌠i think the last club side to compete in the CL group stages was Widesz Lodz about 15 years ago
Indeed they did, mate. I think I recall the first leg being in Poland on a Wednesday afternoon, live on ITV, and Steve Bruce leading Manchester United to a comfortable win.
Correct. I remember changing some pounds into zlots for a drunk Man U fan at Krakow station. He was delighted and after the transaction was completed said âhey, youâre not trying to rip me off are youâ? As if I would.

Legia are a decent side. Good ball players. A few serbs playing for them. Won the league the last two seasons.

FAO of at Rocko
some unbeliveable scenes in Armenia last night
FC Santa Coloma of Andorra scored in the 90th minute to beat the Armenian champions FC Banants on away goals, 3-2 on the night 3-3 on aggregate, surely this is the first time an Andorran club side have progressed in Europe?
elsewhere
HB Torshavn trashed the Lincoln Red Imps from Gibralter 5-2 and Levadia Tallinn beat SP La Florita 8-0

I think you might be forgetting Sant Juliaâs memorable win over Tre Fiori.
The second leg between St Patâs and Legia Warsaw is live on Setanta later. Reports of a large contingent of Irish based Poles already congregating near the ground ahead of the game. Most of them are supporting Legia but thereâs another raft of chaps who despise them. It could get propah nawty out in Tallaght.
