Aside from the well known set piece deficiencies, I thought the Bayern midfield trampled all over Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets and Robben utterly destroyed Alba. Mueller with 2 goals, an assist and a body check.
There’s some semblance of truth in there. Villa was probably the best finisher in the world before he joined Barca and doesn’t get a look in. And I am amazed that Fabregas didn’t get on tonight. He’s rotting on that bench. Waste
A case can definitely be made for the late 80s Milan but to say barca are ‘not a patch on them’ is a just another example of your ridiculous posting style.
I’d say history will see barca go down as the greatest among most observers especially wit the parallel international success and the presence of messi.
Villas injuries seem to have taken a lot out of him. He was a key man in 2011. Bit of a joke the lack of changes by Tito tonight though
All and sundry on ITV more or less writing off Dortmunds chances against Madrid.
Hopefully they will all be eating their words after next week.
Are you sure about that? Did he not do fuck all after Christmas and it was masked somewhat by the goal in the final?
How could the official behind the goal and/or the linesman (on that side too) not see the body check on Alba?

The boring and one-dimensional (effective as may it have been) brand of football will always have an asterisk beside the success of this Barcelona side and the Spanish national team.
Bayern have seriously heaped the pressure on gotze in the other semi. Apparently the dortmund fans are seething. Will be very hard for him if they make the final.

Yes, he is wrong, he had a 6 week spell around November/December where he was excellent in hist first, including a hattrick against Madrid but was pretty poor the rest of the season including a run of 10 games without a goal and was having a poor season in 2011/2012 before the leg break as well. He simply isn’t a tidy enough ball player to fit in the Barca team, while a fine finisher he used to be consistently be the least effective player on the team in terms of pass completion and this along with a poor run in front of goal led to him falling down the pecking order under Guardiola
In much the same way that the boring and one-dimensional nature of his play put an asterisk after the success of Rafael Nadal.
I hope the Dortmund fans have a bit of pride about themselves and barrack the traitor for ninety minutes.
Nadal is a warrior and a graceful person in both victory and defeat. He is the champion of the people.
There was a bit of whinging in latter years but as time passes people will remember the thrilling play of barca at their best.
Completely the opposite of you I actually think they’ll go down as the best team to watch of modern times too. There will always be those who think otherwise which is fair enough too by they’ll be in a minority.
Spain will benefit from association and will be fondly remembered too.
Real will walk this
That was a bit of a hiding for barca. the champions league will be Jose parting gift to Madrid.
Sad to see the era of the greatest club team of modern times end like that. Writing was on the wall all year though. At least they ended it with another league title and the glorious second leg comeback vs Milan.
They’ll go down in history though - especially the 08-11 period.
Ha ha was waiting for you to come in
your problem is that you are an EPL barstooler and because Barca destroyed manchester in 2 finals you think it makes them great- the reality is they bet a poor team with a shit manager & that decent managers always got the better of them over the last few years
“modern times” - FFS
that was exceptionally good from Munich , I thought Robben had a fantastic match even tho his direct opponent was clearly watching the Aston Villa game last night and took notes on their defending,
Martinez in the middle is a great fucking player, i thought he had an exceptional game and reminded me of myself in patches.
Barca looked rudderless TBH, i presume Messi isnt fit or is just going thru a serious lack of form, he didnt want to know tonight
Jose’s to loose now
your problem is you take contrary positions so often you end up making a cunt of yourself most of the time
