FFS, I sincerely hope this is a pisstake.
Montbazon is anything but slow. He may well be a birdle horse, we wont know for sure till he has to battle. I hope that happens tomorrow. Thats a very very decent race.
No not really, if you think STF will win the supreme, then at the weights you should lump on tomorrow on the animal that gave him 9lbs and only went down a length and 3/4
Ah jesus kid, you cant take that form literally. You are better than that.
Check your PMs
I can’t I am on an smart phone and that feature isn’t available, btw if he won 49 times on firm, and the wins once (grade2) on yielding to soft it means he doesn’t need good ground but I guess you meant heavy winter ground, anyway I would have like to have seen him again, I dont think his form has worked out well but he’s at the top of the market because he has less negatives and nothing else has emerged, I think montbazon is too slow to win a supreme, I meant that relatively
Both Elliot and Harrington have said in past that decent ground is important to him, he would be ok on good to soft but certainly at the highest level would not want it worse than that IMHO.
Zarkandar is racing tomorrow of 151. If he is champion hurdle class he is over a stone well in. However I suspect that is a very very good renewal and there are 5/6 that could be much better than their official marks. I definitely think Olofi, Raya Star and Empire Levant are well handicapped. Depending on how much they have in hand they could put it up to Zarkandar.
Its a great card tomorrow. After this weekend the puzzles should be coming together.
I am on olofi ! Desert king will also carry 5 ew
Olofi is one I’m keen on and meant to back earlier at around 12’s. He’s into 8’s & 9’s now unfortunately. Still an ok price but might thinking twice about it now. Everything is shortening tonight at the top of the market so I would hope it corrects itself over the course of tomorrow morning.
A few murmurings surfacing on Twitter from a Cheltenham Preview Night in Tipp. Davy Mouthwash has said that he doesn’t think Bog Warrior will go for the Arkle. He’s also said he doesn’t think Sir Des Champs and First Lieutenant will take each other on at the festival. Nothing ground breaking there really. Although given how honest Davy has been in the past at these things I’d take it with a pinch of salt.
An honest jockey, Andrew Lynch has reported that Sizing Europe is in cracking form at the moment. ‘The horse has a savage heart’. I’d love to see him romping home like Master Minded did a few years back.
While you don’t often learn a lot from previews, this one has the makings of a great one. Great deal for your €20 as well.

A great line up for a great charity.
Will look forward to the notes from that one, we should get a good line on SS tomorrow. French opera is rated 158 and normally hits the high notes first time out, no doubt he’s very good, but will have a better reading after this
I’ve just managed to look at his last 2 races. He settled much better under Ruby and is well able to jump at pace when he wants to. He strikes me as a pure messer of a horse. Put blinkers / cheek pieces on him and spend a bit of time ironing out his jumping and I think you’ve got a very very good horse. Maybe not Champion Chase winner but worthy of consideration at least.
Zarkandar is thrown in tomorrow and if he performs anything like he did in the Triumph he will romp it. The lay off is a worry, but he seems to be a spring horse and I’ll be piling into him.
Robbie power said tonight at clonal che preview that STF is giving him a better feel than Oscar wells last year, and cannot wait
I think i’ll be backing him too, will wait and see if there is some drift tomorrow. The likes of 7/2 or 4/1 would be lovely…
2 very strong trends for not backing zarkandar
- in the last 12 runnings paul nicholls has never even managed a place in this race
- in the last 12 runnings no horse rated above 149 has won it
how many potential champion hurdle horses ran in this race off 151?
loads
that were second favourite for champion, were unexposed and who had comprehensively beaten three horses in brampour, grandouet and unaccompanied who are now rated 160+?
Dont get me wrong kc, i like stats as much as the next man but sometimes they are based on a mean and dont accurately reflect the chances of certain horses.
