Soggy me arse. I actually walked the inner course yesterday morning in my shoes and only had to wipe the grass off afterwards. No mud or water puddles whatsoever.
The champion chase was a jokefest, if it happened in Ireland the English press would be laughing. Accidents can happen and they need to be prepared for it, it was very poor attempt to wave them round the last.
and in the next race they called in McCain about the improvement in form on his winner (0000), the announcement was “the stewards noted the trainers explanation that the horse runs better on good ground”. FFS **
** Of course the fact that New Years Eve and Sizing cost me big time has to be taken into account
They watered the shite out of it last night apparently CCHA
Yes. In the Club Stand there was a George Clooney lookalike with a thousand yard stare on his face after Hurricane Fly lost yesterday. He’ll be there again today with a hangover and hoping that the following horses don’t push him over the edge.
Teaforthree
Grands Crus
Simonsig
Sizing Europe
Vendor
Act of Kalinski
Moscow Mannon
Definitly fuckall Irish accents to be heard. Sign of the times. Maybe they’ll be more as the week goes on
Vendor, Grands Crus & Sizing burnt me also after having the first two winners.
Still very few Irish accents around yesterday. SS will be in his element up in the stand and the hospitality sections with all the plummy voices. No wonder we dont hear from him.
I same home via Birmingham last night, flights were busy enough but there was no-one wearing a smile or celebrating.

Dunph has a lucky 15 up for Portman Park later. He sent me a PM on it earlier
THEY are beginnning to come for Peddler’s Cross.
It’s make or break for me today and Peddlars is pretty much the one that will decide it.
Think that’s the reason he’s going to try the Jewson. He was 80-20 going to the Jewson about two weeks ago, despite their ‘agonising’ over the decision. They feel he’ll be 8-10lbs better after the op. Not sure why they delayed. Think he’ll win a typically ordinary Jewson given he’s in cracking form other than that. Tongue tie may be applied as an interim measure.
you were the one who told us he needed a wind op?
Having backed him for the arkle, its hard to go back in again now…
Anybody ever get a proper feel for what happened v SS at xmass?
Indeed I did and he does, I also said he worked like a dream recently. I just think it’s worth a tilt at the price. Was the run at xmas really that bad considering he clouted the first and was eased when he couldn’t get in a blow against a horse like Sprinter Sacre?

I have just had another cut off Peddlers Cross.
I am in balls deep. Haven’t had this much money on a horse at the festival since Voy Pos Ustandes let me down in 2008. Hope its not an omen
Good to see people betting like men here today.
fuck it anyway, that was expensive
