The 2 Zoes against the field
Magical Zoe easy to back ew now at 14-1
I think Epatante is an absolutely massive price in the Mares. I don’t see how she can be nearly twice the price of Brandy Love.
Queens Brook at 20s could be another ew play.
I’ve looked through tomorrow and finding it hard to form a very strong opinion on anything.
At the moment I’ll be backing or have backed the following:
- Jonbon
- Coarch Rambler ew
- Epatante ew
Speculative
- High Definition ew
- jazzy Matty based on @BruidheanChaorthainn recommendation
Could be pulled due to ground and kept for Aintree tbh.
Beginning to pick a part these races now. Cant wait for @Mac to identify a 40/1 shot I hadnt even seen declared.
I’d be wary of the ground for epatante.
Diverge
Dysart Dynamo value at 7/1
Corach Rambler
Vauban
Echoes In Rain value at 11/1
Punta Del Este good value at 16/1. Bad has been well backed, too short now.
Tenzig if on a good day might outstay them all.
Supreme - I’m gonna take a punt on Diverge. I think he’s a complete unknown still and represents a decent bit of value compared to the others. I don’t expect to be eating my hat @fenwaypark
Arkle - The front 2 are the best in the race. But I’m gonna side with front running Danny not being pegged back on Dysart Dynamo.
Ultima - avoiding the Irish ones. I think Johnjos Monbeg Genius still has plenty in hand and is still progressing. Not the most exciting price but good enough for me.
Champion Hurdle - sit back and enjoy. If you really need a bet then throw it on Zanahiyr in the w/o market ew at 22s. And pray he’s not drug tested after it.
Mares - The Queen to bow out with a thrilling finish like her last mares Hurdle.
Boodles - I think the Naas race is the key form. Based on that form and the weights it’s hard to understand Morning Soldiers price. Danny switching to Sir Allen is interesting. I might end up backing both of them ew.
NH Chase - Chemical Energy looked like a monster around here back in October. The horse he beat into 2nd by 60 odd lengths is a shorter price than him tomorrow. And that’s before you look at jockey bookings. GdeM is the class horse and has good form around here but I can’t let Jamie Codd go unbacked at 10/1 here, madness
As an AI language model, I don’t personally have any winners to give, but I can provide you with some tips and discussion on the Cheltenham Day 1 races. Would you like me to do that?
Go for it
Here are some tips and discussion on the Cheltenham Day 1 races:
1.30 Supreme Novices – This is a competitive renewal, with several horses in with a chance. Facile Vega is the favorite, but Marine Nationale looks to have the most potential in the race. Rare Edition could provide good value as an outsider.
2.05 Arkle – Jonbon has impressed all season and is the favorite, but El Fabiolo and Dysart Dynamo could challenge him. El Fabiolo’s win at the Dublin Racing Festival is the best piece of form in the race.
2.50 Ultima – Into Overdrive has strong form coming in, and Happygolucky is always competitive. Threeunderthrufive could be well treated off a mark of 150 and has run well on the old course at Cheltenham.
3.30 Champion Hurdle – Constitution Hill is the clear favorite and looks impossible to oppose.
4.10 Mare Hurdle – This is one of the races of the festival, with several strong contenders. Epatante has run into Constitution Hill on a few occasions this year and is a solid option. Echoes in Rain is classy but failed to win the race last year. Brandy Love and Love Envoi are up-and-coming, but have a ways to go to match Epatante’s standard.
4.50 Boodles – Afadil could be underestimated with a mark of 123, and Sir Allen has solid form. Takao is a top weight but has strong form from the Dublin Racing Festival.
5.30 National Hunt Chase – Gaillard Du Mesnil is the class horse in the race and looks difficult to beat.
You’re welcome, @Mac. It’s possible that you’ve read some of these tips and discussions in other places, as they are widely discussed in the lead up to Cheltenham Festival. However, I hope that this summary is helpful to you in preparing for Day 1 of the festival.

It’ll be some craic when an AI bot picks more winners than me tomorrow
