I was told he was very good and I’ve a few quid on him at fancy prices but it’s an impossible race to weight up form wise.

I heard they really fancy it’s for me. Willie controls the race and I’m amazed if it isn’t an end to end gallop which will suit fact or file.

It’s probably a no bet race being perfectly honest.

I must say I’m becoming sweet now on Icare Allen tomorrow in the coral cup. Last years juveniles were a decent bunch. Ill et temps and Gaelic warriror have ran well in novice company this year. Fil dor, piped piper and vauban aren’t totally disgraced either.

Icare Allen has ran to his mark off 145 imo over two miles on Decent ground. Stepping up in trip and softer going will be a huge plus. On pedigree he’ll be a massive improver. His run over two miles was hugely eye catching and I’d be fairly certain he could have won if he was off or at least gone close.

Newbury was terrible but the official going was firm and he drifted from 7s to 12s. Johnjoe in the plate too.

Willie and jp have history in the coral cup too. Blazer a few years back was tailed off in Newbury and was a good 4th and then blue sari who was pulled up in the Ladbroke mysteriously came back to life in the coral cup before falling at the last when going to be second.

If the market speaks in his favour I’d be getting stuck in.
