Cheltenham-Early thoughts

Wow. What a perfromance. Fair play to him.

I don’t know whats more impressive, the way Kauto won it or the way a half fit Denman beat every other horse apart from Kauto.

Only horse to win, lose, win in the Gold Cup?

Think so - in the last 50 years or so anyway

Thank God for that.
Had the lot on him.
Now, time to withdraw that money and leave it for another year.
I might even spash out on the special edition of resident evil 5 later on.
Teh world is my oyster.
I was impressed with Ruby though.
He gave that horse every chance and then went when it was time.
Compare that to Binocular the other day and it’s a different story.
does anyone know how much Ruby made over the weekend I wonder?

Sheer class from Kauto. Was a joy to watch over the last four or five. Great show from Denman as well in fairness to him.

Never mind taking tips or going to Cheltenham previews. Just throw a tenner each way on Ruby in every race he rides.

[quote=“Garda Sean Horgan”]He was going a great gallop. Not sure if he would have won but I had him each way. Was it jockey slipping out of a stirrup or was the horse just way too wound up and decided not to bother?
Straight to the glue factory for him so. you can’t back a horse if it’s going to dodge a hurdle.
He did hit one hard abotu 2 fences before so you dont’ know what he was thinking.

I think he was knackered and couldn’t face it, thats what it looked like anyway.

To be honest looking at the finish he’d have been bate into a place at best.

Bit fuckin late now you cunt-3:45 on the friday

He’ll be back don’t worry. Only a 4 year old.

If you can add up with prize money he won and take 10% of that, then thats the bare minimum he’s going home with.

He’ll pick up 27k for winning the gold cup.

Great great horse, Kauto Star. 1st horse ever to re-claim the Gold Cup. The way Denman ran suggests he might be the 2nd horse to do it next year. Would be surprised if Kauto could ever run that well again. Total perfection.
Rubys landed over 600,000 in prize-money this week. Nice

Finally a winner at Cheltenham at the Foxhunters!!

Cappa Blue’s first time on a racecourse. 6/1.

A drop in the ocean I’m afraid

congrats to dancing baby on a 2.5k win yesterday

great stuff indeed - eindhoven is well & truly paid for with the forecast

Get on Clew Bay Clove in the last and you’ll be able to afford two weeks in Eindhoven

did you get good word for him?

I’ve Tiger cry backed since last night but seems to be fairly friendless in the market.

Kauto Star is the best horse in training at the moment, looked very sharp today, his jumping was excellent…Yet another in a long line of superb performances from him, the Tingle Creek and the King George in 2007 were two other performances that stand out as well…

Unbelievable horse…

Unbelievable to think that he has beaten the likes of Voy Pos Ustedes over 2 miles and the likes of Exotic Dancer(too many times to remember) and Denman over 3 mile 2…

Would love if he came back next year and retained his title along with another King George and hopefully go down in history as one of the greats

Went into the pub last night and it seems the whole town had Weapons Amnesty backed. Hate that.
