I find these ok for all Jennings is very annoying at times. Decent catch up on the weekends action.
This is the year for Percy
Doing some notes for cheltenham at the moment. I’d fancy sky pirate for the grand annual, the bosses Oscar for the pertemps, palm beach Fred winter, pic dorhy coral cup, mt Leinster county hurdle and no real opinion for the two big chases.
For the Dublin racing festival I think tiger tap tap will go close in the two mile hurdle, Joseph’s embittered won’t be far away in the two mile handicap Chase, gun digger/trainreck for the two and a half mile handicap chase.
I’d say that morosini is more of a coral cup horse too than a pertemps horse. Hopefully Nicholls goes back hurdling with pic dorhy. His betfair win is good form. Protektorat could be one For the two and half handicap chase. He’s given a mark of 154 which is fair imo. He runs on New Year’s Day in Cheltenham so we’ll know more but it’s hard to see him winning a grade one at the festival unless envoi Allen is rerouted or something.
Dickie Diver very eyecatching in Newbury
Pro will run in Marsh.
I know you always say hales wants grade one winners but hales is very close with skeletons dad and he got dan the job in Nichols initially so maybe he allow dan place the horse. Imo he won’t beat envoi. He could win the brown plate off 157 or 158.
If he wins dipper he goes Marsh. Handicaps wont be an option.
Maybe I think he’s 151 now. He’s ideally suited to brown plate as it’s such a big field and a narrow track it really plays to the strengths of a horse ridden prominently.
Will they allow Irish horses to travel if there is another level 5
No
Call it off if that’s the case or put it back a few months
I’m just digging in again. Mighty Blue at 25s for the mares novice is big imo. She needs to learn to settle but she’s a quality flat horse and can take high rank in this sphere too. She’s nice form with sea Ducor too which is good. I’m a big fan of tying in handicap form.
Monte Cristo is another id add to my coral cup list but isn’t in any ante post books. Very impressive in kempton.
Dickie Diver has three festival options but I suspect he’ll be aimed at Kim muir as Jp loves winning that. He’s 25s which is big given his form with Allaho and Minello Indo.
Ontheropes was staying in behind monkfish nicely and the form of that race has really worked out. I’m thinking four miler/Irish National maybe. I think he’s rated 145. 33s and 25s for the four miler Is a big price.
That escaria ten of Gordon’s is another interesting one. I wonder would he be an ultima horse? I dunno will he get a rating of 145 or lower for the Kim muir. He’s from that monkfish form line as well. Looks a good prospect.
Another one I think that will win a big handicap is commander of the fleet. I thought he was very eye-catching in the pertemps qualifier. He was struggling early doors but I thought he ran on well enough for a finish. Like he was only 5 lengths behind Morosini for 6th spot.
It was a huge step forward from his first run back after a long absence. I think he’s 144 now. Considering he split Minello Indo and Allaho in the Albert Bartlet while finishing ahead of lisnagar Oscar and the likes. I think he’s very well handicapped.
I’m not sure there’s many pertemps qualifiers left in Ireland? Maybe one but if the cheekpieces or blinkers are applied for that big three mile handicap hurdle on the Sunday of the Dublin racing Festival id be backing him. He won at that meeting before and Gigi have a decent record in those handicaps. The prize money is unreal.
