Not sure its high risk, depends on which cruciate it is for a start, medial or arterior (I am unaware which?) and, well its not like he can do any further damage is it? Worst case scenario he pulls an Anton Lubchenko.
Shefflin does the cryptherapy in White’s Hotel, Wexford. That’s why my beloved Leinster Rugby Football team had their pre-season camp in Wexford last week.
Shefflin building the knee muscle in Limerick, which would could only assume is in Hartmans.
Gone to Hartman to build the knee muscle but, correct me if I’m wrong, White’s Hotel has the only cryotherapy facility in Ireland. Both Shefflin and Hogan were driven from Croke Park straight down there on the day of the semi-final and had left before the game even ended.
You are wrong
I’ve never heard of one in Limerick anyway but I’m sure a Limierck poster will inform us shortly. Hadn’t heard that about Shefflin and Hogan, thats impressive work by the Kilkenny backroom staff. No stone will be left unturned for Shefflins date with 8.
EDIT and there is Runt…
Runt, does Limerick have a cryotherapy facility in UL?
Either way, Tipperary will beat them and they will be fuelled by being absolutely robbed last year.
There is one in Bandon in Cork, taken from the place in Poland where Munster used to go.
Yes, Limerick has a cryotherapy facility, but not in UL, it’s in the north west Limerick town of Ennis.
Kilkenny were unabackable favourites last year. Tipp were fancied a little, but not as much as this year. Given the injury situation and the perceived closing of the gap between the two I fancy Kilkenny to be absolutely spitting for this one. Tipp still have issues, half forward line still a cause for concern. Too early to go into it in depth, but at this early stage, I predict two things, Shefflin to get some field time, and Kilkenny to win.
Tipps half forward line was good yesterday, McGrath was sublime, Corbett and John O’ Brien both spent time out there and played very well. They move around like KK so much now that its hard to gauge any particular line, its a whole unit.
That was Trapattoni actually. He has pledged to stay off the shellfish from now on.
I apologise for my misinformation regarding cryotherapy. I have gone off and liaised with the relevant people and completed some research and White’s WAS the only such facility in Ireland until the relatively recent addition of the other facilities mentioned above. Given White’s sponsorship of Clonard GAA Club, I welcome these new facilities in Munster and I can confirm they are MUCH BETTER than White’s and should definitely be used ahead of the one in Wexford.
Just a thought…
Looking at the results of the two semi finals, and concluding the fact that both waterford and cork are at the same level, the amount of scores by both Kk and Tipp aren’t far off nor is what was conceded so the final will be very even. Tipp have momentum, Kk are missing their best player. At this stage I’m going to say Tipp by 4 points.
Revenge for last year in a final that all Tipp men will say was left behind will be worth at least 2 goals to the HoH
I hope Tipp win, purely on the basis that I would like to see Christy Cooney try to stop that horde of cider filled lunatic muck savages from invading the field.

Thats not the reason you want Tipp to win. You’ve changed maaaaaan there was a time when you hated Tipp more than any other county. I’m disillusioned after all this.
Some Joe Cole to blame?
Kilkenny will win this hurling game, the loss of Henry is a bit of a worry but a step up in performance by any of Richie POWER,Eddie Brennan,TJ Ried or Eoin Larkin can go a long way to atoning for his loss, the other big worry is that we wouldnt want to get any more injuries especially at the back, every time two fellas go for a ball together at training over the next fortnight theres going to be a big gasp from the thousands that will be there, the general consensus in Kilkenny is that one more injury could fuck us right up.
Ryall will be favourite to start in the AIF probably straight in at centre back so as not to be upsetting the back line unit, hes been a great servant to Killkenny hurling and has a good AIF record with the exception of 2003 when Setanta roasted him but failed to score the goal chances,he didnt do a whole lot wrong the last day either but hes surely going to be a target for the Tipp forward line if he starts in this match. If the team was being picked purely on form and ability Paddy Hogan would be going straight in at 6 but its very unlikely that Cody will hand him his championship debut in such a pivotal position in such a huge game,he hasnt even seen much league game time really.Im looking forward to the next few Weeks, its gonna be great.
