Watched the replay on Setanta last night-I knew Cha had a bad game but didn’t realise how terrible he actually was on the day. He was suppposed to be flying at training.
Also Richie Power missed some easy point at a crucial enough time late in the 2nd half -he was about 25 yards out in acres of space and fired it at about a foot higher than the crossbar-Cummins stopped it and took it down, clearing it easily.
Did they give you a nice cell in the Bridewell the other night Link?
That’s it alright. All about interpretation of the stats really. Only the thickest cunts going turn their back on more information about how their team performed - Babs and his ilk.
Stats support the view that it wasn’t one of Shane McGrath’s best games on Sunday either. Remember the brother saying it to me during the game alright that he was very quiet. Fennelly gave him a bit of a doing in truth. Fortunately for Tipp B. Maher was immense on the day.

Don’t know why anyone wouldn’t read these stays if only to confirm their own perception of the game. For me the absolutely remarkable stat is the amount of plays Noel McGrath got ayEay above any other forward on the day
If I could rescind my nomination of McGrath for Team of the Year in favour of Fennelly I would. Can I do that?
I think you can, i want to as well. Watched it all again, and Fennelly was excellent despite being under the cosh.
Cha got run over as i expected, and predicted.
Rice will no doubt derive some consolation from the fact that, despite missing 13 minutes of the game, he still ended up at the top of his team’s quality points register
 Given how far up his (their) own arse(s) he (they) seems to be, I wouldn’t be surprised if he (they) actually believe this.
The system seems alright, though you could see how it would underrate the contribution of a corner-forward who might not play the ball much but whose stock in trade is goals.
Likewise a goalkeeper who pulls off 5 top-class saves in a match, or a corner back who doesn’t touch the ball but doesn’t let his man near it either.
To many anomolies really…
The quality points thing is a bit dodgy alright but on the whole there’s a lot of interesting stuff in most of the articles. I don’t think there’s a system capable of capturing all the intricacies of a hurling game in particular.
Supposedly Ryall and Kavanagh have retired.
Shocking homophobia in there about Donal Og. Did mbb write it?
The writer must not have read an moltoir’s piece about tipp losing 11/12 of Cummins’ puck outs either.
I agree with puke on the statistics thing too, which is proof I’m willing to judge issues on their merits and not try to appear to be cool and forward thinking all the time.
Could also mean I’m a watery cunt though.
