He routinely hits 60 to 80 yard sidelines when playing in the backs for Clare. He scored a sideline from around 60 yards out in the dying seconds of the infamous minor match v Clarecastle where Dalo went doling out the chin music on the sideline
Cratloe minus Podge, Cathal McInerney, Conor McGrath and two young guns in Marc O’Brien and Eoin Carey beating Scariff is a mild shock - they have blooded a ball of young fellas who are well able for it
Impressive!
John Conlon is meant to have made clean shit of his finger? Is this true?
Unfortunately it doesn’t look good - wedding ring caught in a perimeter fence
Nightmarish. Nery Pumpido the Argentina goalkeeper in 1986 nearly lost his finger when he caught his wedding ring on a nail on a crossbar.
By all accounts they are very hopeful that it can be saved

A few turkey shoots as eire og, clonlara and broadford all hockey Tones, Barefield and Corofin respectively.
Young McLeish took his chance well I heard.
Did well, as did young Moloney at centre forward. Forward line has a lot of depth - Tots, Michael O’Loughlin and Conlon all missing - Eoin Begley only a sub.
Conor Cleary destroying another good team from full-forward this evening
Cleary just a less mobile version of Peter Duggan really?
Cleary is way more mobile than Duggan. Duggan is probably the slowest I/C forward in the country at present while you would struggle to find too many cases of Cleary being outpaced over a 30 or 40 yard run in his I/C career.
Cleary can struggle with agile inside forwards who have quick feet but most big men do but Cleary has straight line pace, Duggan doesn’t.
Was Conlon playin for clonlara?
Cleary caused havoc tonight and looks to be hurling well. It’s good to see him fit again.
Agreed. Duggans slowness was epitomised by that half run for Rob downeys goal in last years all ireland final
He injured his ankle in the last round robin game and had surgery after the final. Downey is no sprinter himself.
No - they were missing a few
