Great write up. Thanks

A fairly middling IK performance full of “nearly” and “if only” moments up to when I last posted, then they hit a purple patch and rattled over six points in nearly as many minutes. Aidan Mc had as many wides as scores but has found his groove since. David Fitz might have gotten in for two goal chances but muddled one and assisted a point for the other. Rynne was growing into it as it went on.
Ballyea struggling in the middle eight, striking has been poor when they have gotten hold of it. TK trying to drift out and get onto something but being kept fairly quiet until he slapped over two late frees. Nice breeze there as mentioned but Ballyea will need to start cutting into the lead fairly lively as IK should be able to score from distance into it.

TK wins a penalty but Eamon Foudy pulls off a great save diving to his left. 45 gone
Fitzy tearing it up
Gudgie gets another set of matching yellows.

When TK is as off the boil as he was tonight, Ballyea are going nowhere. Gudgie was brutal too and they were down Kennedy+Cleary. Big game for them next vs Clonlara. McCarthy and Fitzgerald had fine games for IK, James Hegarty didn’t put a foot wrong at 6 either. Foudy’s puckouts are some weapon also.Question is now can they back it up the rest of the way?
No
With that hit to the score difference, it would take an awful lot to go right for Ballyea to qualify from here.
Inagh are well capable of screwing it up, but you’d think this has to be the year for them now.
Eire Og beat Crusheen earlier 4-18 to 18.
Great win for Shannon. Sheedy beaten twice from tight angles, albeit at close range.
Aidan McCarthy surely back in next year. Big strong man who can take a score, they don’t grow on trees. He probably plays a part for any team in the country.
Saw around half of this. Thought Sheedy was a bit frantic on puckouts in the first half when they were against the wind.
Shannon have their big players well positioned, isolating Aaron Cunningham inside, Shanagher winning a load of puckouts and the Lohan’s/Rory Hayes keeping things between the ditches further back.
Apart from Jamie Shanahan who still has wrists of gold, SMB weren’t really up to much.
Was Cathal Malone togged for the Bridge?
Yes. Scored a couple of points but I thought he’d be better.
My beloved Newmarket face Sixmilebridge next in a huge game.
